With a slightly stiff hand they are especially well suited to commercial applications. They will not wrinkle paper when screening art prints. These inks were designed for all surfaces and are permanent. Permanent screen printing inks for most surfaces: fabric, paper, plastic, vinyl, leather, metal and more! Formulated for surfaces traditionally considered difficult to print on (such as synthetic fabric, leather, wood and vinyl), these innovative and unique water-based inks raise the bar for versatility. Jacquard Screen Printing Inks are archival and lightfast with much less water content compared to other water-based inks, allowing for superior detail and coverage. The ink won’t buckle or curl even lightweight artist papers, and the finish is a durable, scuff-proof semi-gloss. Dry-cleanable and extremely washfast on fabric after heat setting, the inks also self-cure after 72 hours. Open time on the screen has been greatly extended, giving printers more working time without in-screen drying. TECHNIQUES - screen printing, monoprinting, block and relief printing * Extended Open Time - These inks break new ground with a greatly extended open time. This gives you the flexibility to work with more colors without the ink drying in the screens. * Permanence - Archival and lightfast, these inks are permanent on most non-porous surfaces including: fabric, paper, plastic, vinyl, leather, metal, and more! Fabrics must be heat set for permanence and durability. Once set, the inks are fully washable and dry-cleanable on all natural and synthetic fabrics. * Water-based - No smelly solvents and clean-up is easy with just soap and water. Matisse Derivan Screen Printing Ink has been formulated as a safe, non-toxic silk screen printing ink for fabric and tie-dyeing. It can be used in the classroom or at home safely without the worry of being exposed to harmful solvents such as white spirits, turps or thinners. Matisse Derivan Screen Printing Ink is water-based and washes up in water (before it is heat set) but has excellent rub resistance and lightfastness once heat set. All the colours may be intermixed to form bright secondary and tertiary colours. White (Opaque) may be mixed if pale pastel opaque prints are desired on dark colored fabrics. The Screen Reducer is a thick milky colored paste which dries colorless and transparent. It is used for intermixing with standard printing colours in order to extend deep colours into pale or lighter transparent shades (Red into transparent pink, etc.). It is mainly for white or pale fabrics. Best results are obtained from absorbent fabrics; avoid waterproof fabrics as they tend to inhibit penetration and repel the water-based colors. Clean up is a breeze! Simply wast all utensils, brushes and hands with soap and water to clean up! Key Features: * Water-based screen printing ink * Non-toxic * Clean up with soap and water * Excellent rub resistance * High lightfastness ratings Perfect For: * Use on absorbent fabrics, such as cotton, bamboo and hemp * Easy and safe to use on delicate fabrics; such as swimwear, baby wear and undergarments * Screen printing on dark colored fabrics See More
