Da Vinci Pro Resist-Grip Panel 24"x24", 2" DeepSave Up to76%Off listWhite Superbly Crafted For Permanent Works Of Art- Resist-Grip Panels If you paint with acrylics or encaustics, Da Vinci Pro Resist-Grip Textured Gesso Panels are the very best primed surface ever created for your medium. The coarse texture grips heavy bodied acrylics extremely well and allows for an endless array of layering without any problems, whether with thin glazes or heavy impasto layers. For encaustics, the toothy primer grabs hold firmly to lower layers, providing a strong firm support for subsequent layers to adhere to. It is also the very first panel surface that offers a real tooth for grabbing hold of pastels and colored pencils, allowing layering and blending with ease. Just carefully seal with several light coats of archival spray for pastels, and you won't have to place your pastel or colored pencil art under glass. For other works, seal with the appropriate fixative for your medium (or varnish for paintings), for a frameless, dramatic presentation of your artwork. Key Features: * Coarse Textured, white acrylic polymer gesso with quartz sand * ¾” and 2” cradle depths for dramatic presentation * Kiln-dried New Zealand Pine cradle * Warp resistant, sealed MDF hardboard panel * Seal work easily with archival spray (appropriate to media) for frameless display * Wide range of sizes * Cradles easily accept paint, stain, or clearcoat for finishing Perfect For: * Acrylics, encaustics, oils, colored pencils, and oil pastels, and soft pastels * Building layers of media without peeling off * Large scale drawings without the need or cost of framing * Archival art that will last a lifetime * Students, teachers, professionals * See More

I love the DaVinci Birch and cradled painting panels. These panels are beautifully crafted, light weight and sturdy. Really they are more like furniture than a simple painting surface. Even though I gesso the surface its not necessary. Simply be inspired and apply the paint." Artist Ron Croci “The thickness of the board makes it easy to handle while painting, and in larger sizes an extra support beam is added to the middle of the board. I highly recommend these” Artwork by Artist Samuel Flegal @samuelflegal See More

Famously, cyanotype was used by Ana Atkins and other field biologists for indexing plant specimens with what were called photograms at the time. The Cyanotype process is incredibly simple and only employs two inexpensive chemicals and UV sunlight. Prints can be created on any natural fiber: paper, cotton, silk, wool, wood, etc. Jacquard has made Cyanotype printing easy as pie with pre-sensitized fabric that is ready for cyanotype printing. Simply pull the sheet out of the package, place objects or an inverted photographic negative on top, expose to light for three to fifteen minutes, submerge the fabric in water to reveal the blue cyanotype print, and finally hang the fabric to line dry. With Jacquard’s Cyanotype Pretreated Mural Fabric you can actually create a full-body print by laying on top of the mural fabric for the duration of exposure while not moving. The creative possibilities for Photographers, Mixed Media Artists, and Quilters are endless! If you would prefer to use your own papers or fabric Jacquard has made the chemistry of Cyanotype attainable with lightproof black bottles of Potassium Ferricyanide and Ferric Ammonium Citrate. The chemicals used for cyanotype are inexpensive and go a long way. Despite their perhaps alarming names, both are safe to handle and mix. That said, care should be taken to avoid ingestion, inhalation, and contact with skin. The instructions for the use of Potassium Ferricyanide and Ferric Ammonium Citrate are included in the link bellow Great for photographers, mixed media artists, printmakers, quilters, kids and more, the cyanotype process is easy, forgiving, quick, magical and fun. Capture the nuance of every shadow Key Features: * Harness the power of the sun to make detailed prints * Simply place the object on the sensitized surface and expose to sunlight (UV) * Sun exposure time is 3-15 minutes * Pre-sensitized Cyanotype fabric Perfect For: * Quilters and Surface Design Artists * Photographers * Mixed media artists, printmakers, quilters See More
