Grumbacher Final Fixatives are used to fix and protect dry media such as pastels, charcoal, pastel pencils, and graphite from smudging or rubbing off and come in glossy and matte finishes. Colorless, flexible, and non-yellowing, Final Fixative is fast-drying and is appropriate for use on paper, photographs, printed materials, and ceramics. Grumbacher Workable Fixative is a matte spray used to fix traditional dry media or dried designers gouache for additional layers of media. To prevent your paint from beading up on a non-porous surface like acetate, you can prepare the surface with workable fixative. Workable Fixative was initially developed for gouache paint users. The matte fixing spray allowed artists to fix dried gouache and paint over it without reawakening the original layer of paint. Now working fixative is primarily used with dry media. Grumbacher Final Fixative Matte Spray & Gloss Spray 11.75oz Can: Final Fixative is a workable fixative for charcoal, pastels, and pencil work, appropriate for use on paper, photographs, printed materials, and ceramics. Colorless, flexible, and non-yellowing, Final Fixative is fast-drying and can be reworked when dry. Do not over apply as it will cause a more dramatic color shift or even cause pastels to dissolve in the fixative. Grumbacher Workable Fixative Matte Spray 11.75oz Can: Workable fixative and surface preparation for use on paper, acetate, foil, and glass that allows non-porous surfaces to accept water-based media without beading up. It dries to a non-glossy finish. Allow fixative to dry completely before painting, drawing, or touching the work. Do not over apply as it will cause a more dramatic color shift or even cause pastels to dissolve in the fixative. Key Features: * 11.75oz Can, glossy or matte finish * Colorless, flexible, and non-yellowing * Fast-drying and can be reworked when dry * Protect dry media from smudging * Fix dry media * Workable Fixative allows non-porous surfaces to accept water-based media without beading up * Do not over apply Perfect For: * Protecting dry media * Adding lost tooth back to a drawing * Pastels, charcoal, pastel pencils, and graphite * Traditional designers gouache * Use on a wide range of artist papers * Professionals, teachers, students * Surface preparation for paper, acetate, foil, and glass * Paper, photographs, printed materials, and ceramics * Non-porous surface preparation for water-based media See More -
Lefranc & Bourgeois Flashe Vinyl Paint - Black, 750 ml JarSave Up to30%Off listBlack Highly Pigmented Opaque Vinyl Paint On All Supports Lefranc & Bourgeois's FLASHE is a vinyl-based opaque paint that dries to a uniform, velvety matte finish. Vinyl paint is like acrylic in that you can use it on different surfaces, but FLASHE has a velvety matt finish and can be painted on glass and plastic without a primer, unlike acrylic. Special properties in the paint allow you to apply the same color to different surfaces without any big color shift, and you can dilute the paint with water to create wash effects. The paint adheres well and is resistant to weather, which makes it perfect for painting theatre decorations, faux finishes, frescos, and more. All FLASHE colours have a distinctive matt finish, except the iridescent colours, which have a luminous, satin finish due to their pearlescent pigmentation. Key Features: * Highly pigmented opaque vinyl paint * Radiant colour, matt finish, and exceptional durability * High-quality pigments specially selected for fine art * Identical color finish on all surfaces * It can be heavily diluted without breaking the film * Guaranteed to be 100% stable over time * Most surfaces do not need to be primed Perfect For: * Artists and illustrators * Non-oily painting surfaces, canvas, wood, fabric, leather, metal, paper, plastic, glass, and polystyrene * Creating transparent wash effects and patinas * Use as an undercoat for oil or acrylic murals * Transferring artwork from analog to digital * Spontaneous painting in the studio or outdoors * Fresco and wall painting, faux finishes, theater decorations, and more * Brush, sponge, spray gun, or an airbrush application FLASHE Colours have a uniform 30-minute drying time, and once dry, they are water-resistant. You can only remove the paint with alcohol-based solvents. Apply opaque colours with a single application, semi-opaque colours with two applications, and transparent colours with three to four applications. Watercolour: To create washes and patinas, dilute with between 1/3 and 2/3 water as desired. Varnish: Matt varnish can be applied on top to maintain the vibrancy of the colour without altering the shade. Gloss varnish will make shades a tone deeper and more vivid. Varnish is recommended for all outside applications. See More

Mixing this medium with acrylic ink creates a pourable consistency and guarantees that the mixture will dry to a smooth, glossy finish without cracking. If you prefer the optically clear high gloss look of resin art, look no further. Daler-Rowney FW Epoxy Resin and Epoxy Hardener mix well with the heavy pigments found in FW inks to create bright and vibrant resin art. It has excellent UV resistance, clarity, and transparency, making the FW epoxy system particularly suitable for the protection and decoration of paintings, artwork, sculptures, and many more. Key Features: * Pouring medium optimized for acrylic inks * Specially formulated for Daler Rowney Acrylic Inks * Gives colors a smooth, pourable consistency * Dries to a smooth, even film * The poured mixture will not crack * Glossy uniform surface * Designed to be poured * Dries to a permanent hard surface * UV stabilized epoxy resin and hardener * Optimized to work with the pigments in FW inks Perfect For: * Acrylic and watercolor ink * Use on canvas, wood, and other primed surfaces * Dirty pour or flip-cup pour * Creating interesting pours * Optically clear, high gloss resin art * Resin coating canvas, wood, MDF, glass, perspex, concrete & metal * Laminating or casting load-bearing forms with resin * Pour or brush/roller application * Everyday studio use Directions for FW Pouring Medium: Mix one-part acrylic ink with one-to-three parts pouring medium (depending on the desired thickness). You can then pour the mixture over your chosen substrate. The Daler Rowney FW Acrylic Ink Pouring Medium has a gel-like consistency, and when you mix it with ink, you must mix it long enough to turn the gel ink mixture into a creamy, pourable liquid. The mixture's viscosity improves if it is left to stand for an hour before you pour it. Directions for FW Epoxy Resin and Hardener: Due to its flexibility and strength, FW Epoxy is perfect for creating resin art, laminating, or casting load-bearing forms, sculptures, and statues. Mix 1 part FW Epoxy Resin with 1 part FW Epoxy Hardener to finalize your 3D art. You can pour or brush it on the surface. The resin will self-level to form a perfectly flat gloss finish. It's important to cure the piece at ambient temperature. FW Epoxy is surface dry in 60 minutes, and the coating will be touch dry within 12-24 hours. Once cured, FW Epoxy Resin and Hardener won't shrink or distort over time. Equally suitable for indoor and outdoor use once dry. Please be advised although our resins are UV stabilized, this does not mean they are UV proof. Ultimately our FW clear epoxy resin will show signs of UV degradation over time. See More
