Expert artisans beautifully and meticulously hand-finish our Ambiance Oval and Round Frames. The reverse slope profile of the frame has a polished classical look. Two inner grooves direct your eye to the inside of the frame. An MDF core forms the basic shape, then outer layers of gesso and resin are built up and sanded by hand to support the smooth application of paint or foil leaf. The final coating is a clear, satin, polyethylene, UV protective coating, which seals and ensures a long-lasting finish. Each open-back frame comes with two D-ring hangers, hanging wire, and turn buttons with screws. Ambiance Round and Oval frames are available in white, black, gold leaf, and a silver leaf finish. Due to the hand-finished nature of these frames, small inconsistencies in the measurements and finish may occur.
