Sennelier Artists Oil Color Set of 10, 21ml ColorsSave Up to45%Off listAssorted Colors A New Generation of Oils! Only the finest natural and inorganic pigments . Sennelier Artist's Oil Paints have been the standard of quality for over 100 years. Sennelier's passion for colour chemistry and focused pigment research led to the development of a distinctive oil colour manufacturing process that has been employed for generations. Sennelier gathers only the finest natural and inorganic pigments from around the world. The pure pigments are ground very slowly with extreme care to an extra-fine consistency. They are then combined at maximum concentration with an archival safflower oil to yield the highest possible tinting strength and a lustrous satin finish. The sensuous pigments have a unique buttery texture, a consistency originally developed for the expressive style of the Impressionist painters who frequented the Sennelier store in the 19th century. Non-Yellowing Safflower Oil - highest possible tinting strength and a lustrous satin finish Sennelier's meticulous work, his vast knowledge of pigments, his talents as a colourist, and collaboration with Cezanne and other Masters gave rise to a palette of oil colours that quickly became the standard of quality. Favoured by some of the greatest artists (Monet, Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso, Bonnard, Modigliani, Chagall, Ernst, Hockney), Sennelier oils hang in the world's most prestigious museums. The color system allows for middle tone, dark, and highlight tone availability to aid in the creation of the most lifelike works of art. If you LOVE Prismacolor, You will LOVE Cezanne® - The same - if not better - performance for a better value! Over the years, the binders for the lead have been significantly improved. These pencils have the state of the art binders, which allow the color to release easily onto any paper, board, and even canvas! The lead is characterized as being soft with a large 3.3mm diameter lead that can hold a crisp, sharp point for pinpoint control if required. Pre-sharpened premium pencils allow for great blending, layering, and shading with each other. The soft, vibrant colored leads are easier to blend, shade, and layer. One of the most often overlooked qualities of a pencil is the wood used to encase the lead. However, this is as important as the lead itself. Many lower-cost colored pencils use soft or cheap wood. You can notice this when sharpening. Unfortunately, if you have purchased such a set, you know this already. Cezanne® colored pencils use top quality hardwood that is easy to sharpen. The lead is bonded to the casement, so it is unbelievably break-resistant during the sharpening process. Although this technology has been around for years, many of the cheap brands don't use it because it costs more money. Often, the barrel finish is widely overlooked. However, this, too, has been aided by superior matching techniques of resin color and colored lead. The ends of Cezanne® pencils are dipped twice. The first dip provides a good seal, and the second dip offers a very close depiction of the colored lead, making color selection easy. The final test of any colored pencil set is the assortment of colors. Too often, cheap pencils use cheap pigments, and for the most part, many companies don't work with real artists. Cezanne's color range has been created with a great amount of input from artists such as yourself and is high quality and non-toxic. You can use the selection for portraiture, landscapes, seascapes, and varied brilliant designs. Colorless Blender Box of 6 Mix and soften your colored pencil drawings with Cezanne's pigment-free blenders. The colorless wax allows you to blend and soften colors without altering or dulling colors for a more painterly effect. Non-photo Blue Box of 6: Non-photo blue pencils are perfect for initial sketches, especially for digital pieces. The pencils originated over 80 years ago when it was discovered that this particular blue is unphotographable. Modern scanners and cameras can detect non-photo blue, but with some simple photo editing, those marks are easily erased. See More
