Mounted to sturdy pine wood cradles in either 7/8" or 1-1/2" depths, these panels are easy to frame, or simply paint or finish the sides and hang as-is. This ultra-smooth sanded, highly absorbent clay ground is similar in paintability to the clay gesso grounds used during the Renaissance, and allows paint colors to remain true and brilliant! While Claybord allows the use of traditional materials, tools, and techniques, it is also an ideal surface for mixed media and experimentation.
