Schmincke Horadam Watercolor 140 Color Dot CardSave Up to40%Off listAssorted Colors Horadam Watercolors Outperform All The Rest! Schmincke has been producing its Horadam line of watercolors since 1881. Today the Schmincke Horadam Aquarell watercolor paint line includes 189 glorious colors, 152 of those colors have the highest lightfastness ratings of 4 or 5 stars. 95 of the colors are formed with a single pigment for perfect mixing effects. Each color has its own independently optimized recipe made of the finest pigments, Ox gall, and traditional binders. Schmincke uses only Kordofan Gum Arabic from the southern Sahara a natural resin binder. Horadam colors can be raised from a dried palette without developing globules. Colors that have dried on the palette can be awakened with a wet brush and reused an infinite number of times. Schmincke limits use of ONETZ (ox gall) as a dispersant. This helps the artist maintain full control of color, even on softer papers. Key Features: * Tubes: 5ml, 15ml and Sets * Made in Germany * Highest possible lightfastness: 152 tones * 50 Granulating colors * Paint is reusable once dried on palette * Gum Arabic binding medium * Limited use of ox gall as a dispersant * High control of paint flow Perfect For: * Watercolorists * Professional artists with high standards * Illustrators * Color mixing * Plein Air painting * Soft sized papers Most of the Horadam watercolors are non-granulating and have an even paint flow, but 22 colors are granulating. You can spot granulating colors by the G stamped on the tube. Granulation is caused by: * Heavy pigment particles, like cobalt, settling in paper indentations. * Light pigment particles clustering together due to attraction. You can mix super granulating colors to create unusual color shifts. The granulating color shift will vary with the mixing ratio used. What is the right paper for granulation? The rule is: The rougher the paper, the greater the granulating effect. More absorbent papers need a little more water. Hot-pressed paper is unsuitable for granulating effects. Perfect For: * Professional painters of all types * Custom priming and stretching your own canvas * Creating a textured or smooth canvas * Portrait artists and detail painters * Archival art that will last! #42 Linen – 66.9" wide; 12.7 oz. - Slightly heavier than 12 oz cotton but not as bulky. It has a beautiful, tight weave that is perfect for detailed realistic techniques and more abstract applications. For portrait artists, three coats of priming sanded between layers would yield a very pleasing surface. #38 Linen – 66.9" wide; 14.1 oz. - This linen is about 10% heavier than the #42. It has a medium weave and texture and falls into our all-purpose range. You can use this linen for portraiture, but we generally do not recommend it for this purpose. This linen is ideal for all other realistic, representative, and modern expressions. #133 Linen – 82.67" wide; 15.17 oz. - This hearty linen has a robust weave and uniform surface. Perfect for expressive works and abstract pieces. #31 Linen – 90.55" wide; 17.99 oz. - The heaviest linen with a medium texture and weave. It is intended for large-sized works, but you can use it for any size piece. It weighs in at 17.99 oz. or 510 gms, which is heavier than any commercially produced pre-stretched linen canvas product on the market. #24 Jute – 74.8" wide; 24.51 oz. - Jute is a delightful departure from the smoothness associated with hemp and linens as it is delectably coarse, soft, and shiny with a beautiful golden color. The fiber lengths are incredibly long, so the strength of the jute is unrivaled. It has a large, coarse weave and is wonderful for glue-sizing, leaving the natural color of the canvas, or for traditional priming with oil or acrylic-based primers. #25 Hemp – 86.6" wide; 25.4 oz. - Hemp is for any artist looking for a heavyweight, durable fabric that is strong and soft. A robust, tight weave characterizes this fabric. The archival nature of hemp rivals that of the finest linen, but it is economical enough to use on the largest of paintings. See More

Posca Acrylic Paint Marker 4.5-5.5 mm Broad Bullet Tip Light BlueSave Up to33%Off listBlue Water-Soluble, Non-Toxic, and Lightfast Acrylic Paint Markers POSCA markers contain highly pigmented water-based acrylic paints. The paint is highly opaque, quick-drying, lightfast, and non-toxic. POSCA Paint Markers are blendable when wet and can be diluted with water to create a gradient effect on almost any surface. Thanks to its fast-drying time, you can layer colors on top of each other. The pen has a valve mechanism that allows for a tight paint seal. Before each use, you can shake the ball inside the barrel to prime the marker. Thanks to its fast-drying time, you can layer dark colors over light colors or even bright colors over dark colors. The ball inside the barrel of the POSCA markers ensures that when shaken, the paint is evenly mixed. The valve mechanism provides a tight paint seal that prevents the paint from drying out. After use, you can rinse the pen tips under water. Permanent on porous surfaces and erasable on most smooth non-porous materials, your creations can be protected with a fixative varnish. Use POSCA Paint Markers on a variety of surfaces, including wood, fabrics, glass, ceramic, plastic, metals, stones, papers, cardboard, and canvas. Key Features: * Water-soluble Paint Markers * Non-toxic, alcohol-free, lightfast acrylic * Valve mechanism provides tight paint seal * Ball in barrel primes marker * The medium tip is reversible * Quick-drying matte opaque colors * Stable pigments * Permanent on porous surfaces * Erasable on most non-porous materials * Perfect For: * Multiple art projects * Blending and layering colors * Creating infinite gradations of color * Use on a variety of different surfaces * Indoor and outdoor use * Bright compositions * Drawing smooth, consistent lines * Wood, fabrics, glass, ceramic, plastic * Metals, stones, papers, cardboard, and canvas Glass, Plastic, and Metal: Clean the surface with a cloth and ensure it is dry before starting work. Make artwork permanent by applying two coats of water-based spray varnish. Hold the can about 30 cm from the surface and spray in slow circular movements. The varnish can be matte or gloss depending on the look you want. (Not suitable for food use) Fabric: Machine-wash the fabric you plan to draw on to remove any industrial coatings or dirt. To prepare natural or artificial leather, wipe with a damp sponge and leave to dry. Once your creation is finished and dry, you can iron it from the reverse side without using steam. Set the temperature of the iron to the material setting for the fabric you are ironing. You can place a sheet of tracing paper between the iron and the fabric for extra protection. If the fabric used is not suitable for ironing, you can fix your creation with a hairdryer. Hold it 30 cm from the surface and make small circular movements. Ceramic: With treated ceramics, fix your creation for non-food use using a water-based spray varnish, spraying from about 30 cm in small circular movements. With rough ceramics, fire your creation in the oven. Heat the ceramic in the oven slowly to 220°, then turn off the oven and allow it to cool completely before taking it out. Fix the paint on porcelain in the same way, but to a temperature of 160° and for no more than 45 minutes. To give your creation the longest possible life (for non-food use), you can apply a water-based varnish or adhesive varnish. Afterward, you can only hand wash the ceramic in cold water. See More
