Clear Leveling gel dries to a flexible, high gloss film while imparting a leveling quality when mixed with acrylic paint. It blends well with GOLDEN Acrylic colors to produce glazes. Clear Tar Resin Gel: GOLDEN Clear Tar Gel is a 100% acrylic polymer colorless gel with an extremely resinous, syrupy, stringy, and tar-like consistency. Clear Tar Gel can be used to generate fine, detailed lines by "dripping" it over painting surfaces. It can be blended with all GOLDEN Acrylic paints, offering a full range of colors with which to work, although Fluid Colors work best. Extra Heavy Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): Have the thickest consistency of any gel offered by GOLDEN. The gel may be blended with acrylic paint to increase the viscosity. The effect is best seen in thin films over a light color. Heavy Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): is a thick gel that may be blended with acrylic colors to increase paint viscosity. Heavy Gels are excellent for holding peaks and dry translucent. The body of the gel will remain flexible even with thick impasto work. High Solid Gel (Gloss or Matte): are similar in body to Heavy Gels. They contain more acrylic solids and shrink slightly less than other gels. They blend well with colors and will retain brush strokes upon drying. Available in gloss and matte. Pumice Gel: Available in fine, coarse, and extra coarse texture. The textured gel dries to a hard film. They mix well with GOLDEN Acrylic Colors. Coarse Pumice Gel creates more coarse textures to yield concrete-like finishes. Regular Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): Regular Gel is ideal for extending paint and regulating transparency without changing consistency. Useful for impasto effects and holding moderate peaks of texture. They blend well with colors and will retain brush strokes upon drying. Soft Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss):Thinner than GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylic colors, Soft Gels are moderately pourable. Hold only slight peaks. The recommended acrylic to function as a glue for collaging. Useful as a non-removable isolation coat, applied over the painting and before the varnish (must be thinned with water - 2 parts Soft Gel Gloss to 1 part water). See More

Key Features: * Protects against dirt and dust * Provides moisture resistance * Gloss, Satin, and Matte finishes * Ultraviolet Light Stabilizers (UVLS) Perfect For: * Protects against UV light * Final varnishing and protective layer * Providing dust resistance * Archival Fine-Art Protection GOLDEN Waterborne Varnish - is a water-based acrylic polymer that protects interior acrylic paintings from dust and ultraviolet light. The varnish contains Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers [UVLS] that protect your art from light exposure. Waterborne Varnish can be thinned and cleaned up with water, eliminating the need for harsh solvents, and you can remove it from a painting with household ammonia. GOLDEN Isolation Coat - is a ready-to-use sealing coat for acrylic paintings. Previously acrylic artists’ only recourse was to dilute Soft Gel Gloss with water (our former and still acceptable recommendation) before applying it to completed acrylic artwork. Isolation Coat eliminates the need to measure and mix while increasing flow and leveling. Isolation coat is a permanent acrylic medium that seals surface absorbency and allows for improved varnish application and easier varnish removal. Apply one or more layers before varnishing. What does golden isolation coat do? Isolation coat serves two purposes: Seals any absorbent areas in order to create an even surface on which to apply the varnish. Protects the painting if/or when the varnish is removed by separating the pigmented area of the painting from the solvents used in removal. GOLDEN Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Ultraviolet Light Stabilizers) - available in Matte, Satin, and Gloss finishes. A waterborne acrylic varnish that dries to a protective flexible and dust resistant surface over acrylic paint. Removable with ammonia. Health Labeled (HL) product, please read and follow instructions and guidelines. Not for use by children. Recommended for interior use only. See More

GOLDEN Gloss Medium is a general-purpose liquid medium useful for creating glazes, extending colors, enhancing translucency, and increasing film integrity. The medium has a unique oil-like feel and resinous nature that promotes flow and leveling. GOLDEN Gloss Medium is also the best product for blocking Support Induced Discoloration, also known a SID, which is when contaminants are drawn into paints and mediums as they dry. You can protect your canvas or board from this phenomenon by applying GOLDEN Gloss Medium before starting an acrylic painting. SID contamination often goes undetected. In most cases, paints contain a strong enough color to conceal the yellowing. However, in a transparent glaze and especially in thick gel layers, SID becomes obvious. Gloss Medium medium works best when two or more coats are applied directly onto the support. Once dry, the canvas can then be primed and finally painted with less potential for discoloration. You can treat pre-primed canvases with Gloss Medium as well. Apply two coats to the surface, and follow with at least one layer of gesso to regain tooth. Key Features: * General-purpose liquid polymer * Oil-like and resinous viscosity * Promotes flow and leveling * Perfect For: * Creating thin, fast-drying glazes * Extending colors, enhancing gloss, and increasing film integrity * Blocking Support Induced Discoloration (SID) See More

Gamblin Burnt Plate Oil #000 8oz BottleSave Up to40%Off listBrown True to historic working properties. Safer. More Permanent. Gamblin Oil Painting mediums offer a great deal more than simply extending oil colors. Mediums modify the working properties of oil color from the tube – from a fluid consistency for expressive mark making to a stiff paste for creating thick, crisp marks. Painting mediums also broaden the visual qualities of our colors – from increasing the transparency of paint layers, to creating a range of surface qualities, from high gloss to matte. Gamblin’s family of Galkyd painting mediums and Cold Wax Medium are formulated with Gamsol. We recommend only Gamsol for thinning these materials. Alkali Refined Linseed Oil - Processed from flax seeds. This linseed is the purest and lightest industrially produced variety. Cold Pressed Linseed Oil - Made from the first pressing of flax seeds without heat or chemicals of any kind. Cold Wax Medium - Made from natural white unbleached beeswax. Mix directly into colors. Cold Wax creates an ultra-thick, matte impasto. For greater shine and flexibility mix with Galkyd medium. "G-Gel" - Made from alkyd resin, Galkyd Gel is a colorless oil color additive that accelerates the drying rate of oil colors and enables artists to create thick transparent paintings with a moderate sheen. Galkyd Painting Medium - Alkyd based resin painting medium that thins oil paints and maintains a strong flexible paint film. Galkyd speeds the drying rate and is excellent for glazing providing an enamel like finish. For thinning, Gamblin recommends using Gamsol or a small amount of Refined Linseed Oil. Galkyd Painting Medium Lite No.2 - This low viscosity alkyd resin painting medium is a good replacement for traditional damar/ linseed oil/ turpentine combination mediums. Galkyd Lite dries within about 3 hours to a subdued gloss, and will maintain your brush strokes. For thinning, Gamblin recommends using Gamsol or a small amount of Refined Linseed Oil. Galkyd Slow Drying Medium - Especially formulated to thin oil colors and give painters extended working time. To use mix equal portions of medium with oil colors to paint wet for at least a day. Since this product should not be diluted you may want to purchase the larger size. Gamsol - Quality solvent and medium and for general oil painting. Gamsol is also an excellent studio and brush cleaner. Odorless Mineral Spirits -Gamsol is the safest solvent that allows oil painters to utilize all traditional painting techniques without compromise. Primary Uses for Gamsol - Thinning oil colors, Modifying painting mediums, Studio clean up.Gamsol is a petroleum distillate but all the aromatic solvents have been refined out of it, less than .005% remains. Gamvar - Conservation quality varnish for oil, acrylic and alkyd paintings. This resin varnish may be removed with a mild solvent and contains a UV stabilizer. Developed in association with the National Gallery of Art. Package makes enough varnish to cover 80 sq ft. Once varnish is applied surface will have a uniform gloss apperance. Neo-Megilp - When mixed into oil colors Neo-Megilp makes them richer and deeper and finished paintings have a luminous glow! Neo-Megilp will not darken or crack over time. For thinning, Gamblin recommends using Gamsol or a small amount of Refined Linseed Oil. Oil Painting Ground - For strong, bright foundations of oil paintings. Requires only 2 coats. Formulated from alkyd resin, titanium dioxide and barium sulfate. Stiffer than traditional gesso. PVA Size - Use as a barrier size between linen or cotton canvas instead of rabbit skin glue. Remains flexible and won't yellow, shrink or swell. Poppy Oil - Poppy Oil's slow drying time may be useful for painters using "wet into wet" techniques. Adding 10% by volume poppy oil slows down the drying time of Gamblin Galkyd Painting Mediums. Rabbit Skin Glue - Gamblin's Rabbit Skin Glue is the traditional size for fabric support on panels. It seals porous fabric and isolates it from ground or oil paints. Stretching the canvas is easy, because the size shrinks as it dries. Safflower Oil- Gamblin's Safflower Oil is a pale, slow-drying oil. Safflower oil increases flow of oil colors and slows dry time. Use sparingly or mix with an equal amount of Gamsol to create a traditional slow-drying, low-viscosity painting medium. Solvent-Free Gel Medium - This unique, non-toxic blend of safflower oil and alkyd resin gives colors more flow and transparency, yet holds brushstrokes well. It has a moderately fast drying rate, increases gloss, and supports the broadest range of painting techniques with the least compromise across color, dry time, texture and mark-making. Contains no Gamsol or petroleum distillates. Solvent-Free Fluid Medium- Gamblin's Solvent-Free Fluid Mediumgives oil colors more flow and transparency, It has a moderately fast drying rate that increases gloss. Made from safflower oil and alkyd resin, this medium is non-toxic and contains no Gamsol or petroleum distillates. Stand Oil - Vacuum bodied heavy oil which can be used in painting and glazing mediums. Dries to an enamel like finish. Traditional Gesso - Gamblin's Traditional Gesso is a dry mixture of rabbit skin glue, gypsum, marble dust, and titanium dioxide. Paintings on gesso are more matte because of the high absorbency of traditional gesso. Wax Pastilles - Small beads of naturally white unbleached beeswax.* See More
