GOLDEN Acrylic Varnishes are professional, archival, and most contain ultraviolet light filters and stabilizers (UVLS) to provide archival protection to inhibit light damage. Available in spray or brush-on varnishes. Sheen options are available in gloss, satin, and matte final protective finishes to seal the painting. Be sure to read descriptions of each varnish to find the perfect fit for your artwork's optimum protection! Key Features: * Protects against dirt and dust * Provides moisture resistance * Gloss, Satin, and Matte finishes * Ultraviolet Light Stabilizers (UVLS) Perfect For: * Protects against UV light * Final varnishing and protective layer * Providing dust resistance * Archival Fine-Art Protection GOLDEN Waterborne Varnish - is a water-based acrylic polymer that protects interior acrylic paintings from dust and ultraviolet light. The varnish contains Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers [UVLS] that protect your art from light exposure. Waterborne Varnish can be thinned and cleaned up with water, eliminating the need for harsh solvents, and you can remove it from a painting with household ammonia. GOLDEN Isolation Coat - is a ready-to-use sealing coat for acrylic paintings. Previously acrylic artists’ only recourse was to dilute Soft Gel Gloss with water (our former and still acceptable recommendation) before applying it to completed acrylic artwork. Isolation Coat eliminates the need to measure and mix while increasing flow and leveling. Isolation coat is a permanent acrylic medium that seals surface absorbency and allows for improved varnish application and easier varnish removal. Apply one or more layers before varnishing. What does golden isolation coat do? Isolation coat serves two purposes: Seals any absorbent areas in order to create an even surface on which to apply the varnish. Protects the painting if/or when the varnish is removed by separating the pigmented area of the painting from the solvents used in removal. GOLDEN Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Ultraviolet Light Stabilizers) - available in Matte, Satin, and Gloss finishes. A waterborne acrylic varnish that dries to a protective flexible and dust resistant surface over acrylic paint. Removable with ammonia. Health Labeled (HL) product, please read and follow instructions and guidelines. Not for use by children. Recommended for interior use only. See More

Please note: The items on this page are available at the Best Lowest Price Possible and no further discounts can be applied. Image Transfer How-To Nearly any gel, medium, or acrylic paint will work to lift an image, depending on the texture, clarity, and color you want to trap the image within. 1. Apply the gel or paint, and while it is wet, place the image side of a printed laser paper copy directly into the wet gel. Let dry overnight. 2. Dampen the paper with a wet sponge. Wait a few minutes to allow water to soak paper. Begin rubbing carefully. Use a soft cloth or scrubbie to remove the paper. You will probably have to remove the paper a few times, for a clean transfer. When the water evaporates, you will be able to see the areas that you missed. See More

Golden Acrylic Additives Retarder 4 ozSave Up to30%Off list…increase the open (drying) time of acrylic paints. Useful for wet on wet techniques and reducing skinning on the palette. Key Features: * Increase open time * Reduce the surface tension of acrylic emulsion * Improve the slickness and flow of paint * No acrylic binders * Use them in correct… Reduce surface tension and increase paint flow Additives serve a similar function to mediums. The difference is that additives don't contain acrylic binders (like mediums do), so you must follow the label and use them in correct proportions. Most mediums can be added to the paint in any amount until you've achieved the desired effect, but additives can weaken the color and adhesion of the paint when overused. GOLDEN offers these two additives, which are a useful addition to any painters studio. Wetting Agent: Formerly known as Acrylic Flow Release - an additive used to reduce the surface tension of the water in the acrylic emulsion, thereby increasing the slickness and flow of the paint. It is useful for achieving rich stains on a porous surface. Not for use by children. Retarder: an additive used to increase the open (drying) time of acrylic paints. Useful for wet on wet techniques and reducing skinning on the palette. Key Features: * Increase open time * Reduce the surface tension of acrylic emulsion * Improve the slickness and flow of paint * No acrylic binders * Use them in correct proportions * Click the yellow circle icon for product information Perfect For: * Acrylic painting * Minimizing paint waste * Classroom, home, and studio * Teachers and students * All acrylic-friendly surfaces The retarder does not contain binding agents. To ensure adhesion, the addition of Retarder should not exceed 15% (1:6)when mixed with colors or mediums. See More
