AlumaComp Aluminum, 6"x8" Archival Painting & Mounting PanelSave Up to78%Off listSilver 100% Archival / Unprimed Aluminum Boards - Acid Free- Adds Value to Your Artwork 100% Archival Boards - Acid Free- Adds Value to Your Artwork Great for Plein Air Painting - Painting on metal panels has been historically recorded since before the times of Rembrandt, who painted many of his great masterpieces on copper. In the last 20 years, professional artists have been moving towards working on aluminum composite panels (ACP), which feature lighter weights and stronger construction. AlumaComp is widely used for mounting fine art, photographs, linen and canvas to create an incredibly stable painting panel, or to use on its own as a reliable, archival painting support. The brushed aluminum surface takes primer beautifully, providing texture that grips the primer for a perfect bond. The smooth aluminum surface can be used as is to take advantage of its' beautiful finish, or custom sanded or polished for any texture necessary for your artistic applications. When used as a painting panel, the smooth side can be used as the work’s actual highlights for a modern look— either left bare as is, or sanded/buffed back to the bare metal before varnishing to take advantage of the metallic glow. Simply peel the screened film used to protect both sides, and let your creativity do the rest. Key Features: * Double-sided – one brushed aluminum, one polished smooth * 100% Archival Rigid and strong, yet lightweight * 4mm (3/16") thick * Acid-Free - Archival, will not decay * Prime and Paint in traditional oils & acrylics * Use primed or unprimed * Accepts most fine art media, primed or painted directly * Perfect for use as a mounting surface for photography, linen and canvas, even image transfers * Will not mold, or mildew like stretched canvas or wood panels * Can be Framed - No backing board needed * Sold Individually or in Boxes of 2 Perfect For: * Adding Value to Your Art * Plein Air - Lightweight & free from moisture * Professional Photographers, Fine Artists, Graphic Artists * Oils, Acrylics, Mixed Media, Watercolors * Art Prints, Inkjet, Screen Printing, Photos * Creating artwork with a fresh, modern look * Saving shipping costs to clients and galleries, due to lighter weight * Experimental and modern art * Working in environments where humidity levels fluctuate* See below for the larger sizes sold in boxes of 2: 36" x 36" - 18" x 72" - Also not for larger sizes, may need to support to prevent bending Professional Artist Eric Armusik "My work requires the highest standards and after 15 years of painting on wood i have abandon it forever after painting on AlumaComp, I will be painting all 40 large panels using this substrate as well as many more paintings, commissions and mounting of my prints", "It's an amazingly versatile substrate for those who want the smooth surface of a panel but are afraid to paint on something like wood which is prone to warping" Eric Armusik, (b. 1973) paints classical figurative art that fuses his life experiences with art history. His paintings are a declaration to the dramatic power of representational art. The origin of his inspiration does not lie in academia, but rather his childhood, surrounded by the vivid paintings he saw in Gothic cathedrals as a child. Eric doesn’t aspire to simply paint a figure; he paints a moment, a human experience, and an emotional dialogue that transcends culture, religion and time itself. See More

Lukas Acrylic Pouring Medium, 5 Liter JugSave Up to80%Off listClear Transparent The Unique, next level of pouring medium! More of what you love and less of what you don't like about pouring! When added to acrylic paint, traditional pouring mediums generate random cells of color; as a result, most pourers add silicone to the mix to create more interesting shapes. LUKAS Pouring Medium is unique because you can create more dramatic effects without adding silicone and still produce spectacular cell formations. Other pouring mediums on the market such as Liquitex are very tacky until thoroughly dry causing dust particles to interfere with results. Surface defects from craters to cracks are a pitfall of traditional and household pouring mediums. LUKAS Pouring Medium is a real breakthrough because it dries to a beautiful satin sheen with almost no noticeable cavities and absolutely no cracking. The rule of thumb is the lower viscosity of the paint, such as ink, the smaller the ratio of the pouring medium, while thicker heavy body paint would receive a more significant portion of the medium. You can use virtually any acrylic based color, but we suggest richly pigmented colors! You can pour this flexible acrylic medium over almost any substrate, but it is better to pour on a hard flat surface such as a wooden panel. By changing mix ratios, variety of colors, viscosity, and types of substrates, it is almost impossible to run out of distinct variations. If you did five pours every day for the rest of your life, you’d only scratch the surface on the final creations you could create! LUKAS Pouring Medium is the next level of pouring medium designed to create the most beautiful and interesting pours. If for any reason you don’t feel that LUKAS Pouring Medium yields the best results in pouring, you can return it for a full refund. Key Features: * No need to add silicone for more cell formation* Pour over any hard flat surface* Dries to a permanent hard, water-resistant surface* Even sheen, non-tacky, satin sheen* Higher definition, greater cell formation* Smooth level surfaces, less defects* No cracks and no craters* Will not yellow or discolor over time* Less tacky* Dries to a permanent water resistant, crack free surface* Formulated with self leveling and anti crater additives* Impossible to run out of inspiration* Available In: 250ml, 500ml & 5 Liter(169oz / 1.32 gallons) Perfect For: * Dirty pours and cup pouring * Liquid pouring * Superb control and excellent definition * Creating interesting pours * Organic shape creation * Beautiful satin sheen * Everyday studio use * Pouring Medium Brochure Pouring Medium: V30392 or V30393 LUKAS pouring medium improves the flow characteristics of acrylic paints and is perfect for pouring techniques. Once dry, the medium creates a transparent, waterproof, polished surface. Formulated with self levelling and anti crater additives that also enable cell formation without the use of silicones. LUKAS pouring medium contains synthetic resin dispersion additives to improve flow but will not yellow or discolor over time. See More
