Art Alternatives Napa Table Easel and Book Stand is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect book stand for reading at my desk. I have looked at the exact bookstand for quite a bit more money at a bookstore. This is the same one but less expensive. If you're still reading your book flat on a surface or holding it upright. This is the ticket. I doubt that it's big enough for art unless you're using a small canvas...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We were so happy with it that we bought 2 more! We found one of these at a local craft store, but they did not have any more in stock. We gave it to my granddaughter for holding her books, (while homeschool learning), for Christmas. Her mother and I crochet and try to read at the same time, and I paint, so we both really wanted one for ourself. We ordered 2 more. They are really well made and fold compactly when not in use. Three thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted! I bought this for a Christmas gift for my husband. He needed something to hold his tablet on his table. He can't use a computer because of his disability. He needed something sturdy to hold his tablet up. This will be perfect. Also it came sooner than I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, as advertised. I am very happy with the stand/easel. It Works well for doing "lap work" sitting in my recliner, post ankle surgery.. Nice compact construction design and wood used. I heartily recommend it for anyone needing this type of "aid".

Will this hold a library dictionary, weighing 12.5 lbs., dimensions 9 x 13 x 3?

Asked by: Brigid
Thank you for contacting us. We do not have a maximum book size listed for the Napa Table Easel and Book Stand. The bookstand weighs 2.65 pounds and is made of solid wood. The dimensions of the stand when folded are 13.5 x 9.5 x 1”. Hypothetically speaking your book should work with the stand. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

What angles can this easel be adjusted to? I'm looking for a light weight, portable, table top easel for a watercolor painting class. Our instructor wants us to have an easel that can adjust to about 15 degrees to let the water flow. Recommendations?

Asked by: AnArtist
Thank you for contacting us. The positions of this table easel are 65, 45, 20, and flat. I think that the 20-degree angle should be enough of a slope to achieve the effect that you are looking for. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Would this be suitable for use as a writing stand as well? (i.e. Would the foldable book holders interfere with an arm rested on the book stand? How well would a few pieces of paper lay on the stand with the openings in the back while being written on?

Asked by: chaddenbrock
It depends on the angle one wants to write. The recess where the book sits would make it difficult, but if a hard surface was first laid on the area where the openings are, it could be done.
