I knew my needs, but also surveyed other artists. For example, many artists paint in a spare bedroom or other area open to viewing by family and guests. They expressed the need for a workstation that appears to be another piece of furniture when not in use. Many who paint in a large studio said they need a logical way to get organized. Regardless of where the artist paints, there was a common concern to contain those offensive fumes from oil paints. I combined these concepts with my own to create an attractive, functional workstation to serve as the perfect companion to an easel.
