Manufacturing pigments since 1664, Old Holland Classic Oil Colors are still considered today one of the most professional oil paints in the world! Boasting use by renowned artists like Van Gogh, Vermeer, and other Dutch Masters, Old Holland uses only pure, cold-pressed linseed oil as a binder with the highest possible pigment loads, creating brilliantly concentrated paints that provide exceptional covering power, strength of color, and color intensity. All Old Holland Classic Oil Colors are completely lightfast except for the Madder Lakes and Cremnitz White, which are nearly lightfast. All Old Holland's are manufactured using stone rollers only, as the colors of the paint will not change due to metal oxidations (which will alter Cadmium colors). All colors are completely free of cheap fillers and artificial dryers like other premium paints contain. Although Old Holland Oils initially may seem very expensive, the heavy concentration of pigment is actually an exceptional value, given the covering power of the paint and minimum amount needed for color mixing. One tube of their highest possible concentration of pigment equals the pigment contained in 2 to three tubes of other professional brands! This beautiful, luxurious Old Holland Master's Oil Color Set is packed full of everything you need but canvas to start painting from the moment you open it. Housed in a huge Italian Mabef Deluxe Wooden Sketch Box, in this set includes a wooden palette, mediums, brushes, palette knives, palette cups, sketching materials, and an astonishing selection of 34 x 40 ml tubes of Old Holland Classic Oil Colors! Unlike other manufacturer's sets, the selections of paints are popular, useful, and valuable colors for painting and mixing-- not minor throw aways or cheap modern pigments. Centurion OP Professional Oil Primed Archival Linen PanelsSave Up to84%Off list…paint and is non-absorbent allowing the paint to sit up on the surface with the correct refraction quality of the oil binder. If you use any high-quality oil color we urge you to use an oil primed surface and now we make it affordable! Exclusive OP Enhanced Oil Priming! Centurion Deluxe Professional… Master Quality Archival Deluxe Linen Panels! Superb performance and color retention! Exclusive OP enhanced oil priming As an oil colorist it is important to work on oil primed surfaces and not universal primed surfaces. The reason is that universal primed surfaces are semi-absorbent. Gesso is absorbent even if it is plate smooth. The paint does not get absorbed as much and sits on the surface more making it easy to blend and manipulate. Granted it is not highly absorbent but the fact remains that some oil will get into the primer and flatten the image. You can get around this by using an under-painting oil ground on top of the surface of a universal ground canvas but this is very time consuming and expensive. Unlike universal ground, our oil priming chemically bonds with the oil paint and is non-absorbent allowing the paint to sit up on the surface with the correct refraction quality of the oil binder. If you use any high-quality oil color we urge you to use an oil primed surface and now we make it affordable! Exclusive OP Enhanced Oil Priming!
