Matisse Derivan Screen Printing Ink 1L - BlackSave Up to50%Off listBlack A totally water-based, silk screen printing ink! Matisse Derivan Screen Printing Ink has been formulated as a safe, non-toxic silk screen printing ink for fabric and tie-dyeing. It can be used in the classroom or at home safely without the worry of being exposed to harmful solvents such as white spirits, turps or thinners. Matisse Derivan Screen Printing Ink is water-based and washes up in water (before it is heat set) but has excellent rub resistance and lightfastness once heat set. All the colours may be intermixed to form bright secondary and tertiary colours. White (Opaque) may be mixed if pale pastel opaque prints are desired on dark colored fabrics. The Screen Reducer is a thick milky colored paste which dries colorless and transparent. It is used for intermixing with standard printing colours in order to extend deep colours into pale or lighter transparent shades (Red into transparent pink, etc.). It is mainly for white or pale fabrics. Best results are obtained from absorbent fabrics; avoid waterproof fabrics as they tend to inhibit penetration and repel the water-based colors. Increased flow is ideal for masking application, flowing gestural watercolor-like techniques, and “staining" applications. Should be used only in the amount needed to achieve the desired effect. Galeria Fluid Retarder - and additive for extending the drying and working time of acrylic colors. Small amounts (a few drops) will allow for extended blending and manipulation. Fluid Retarder does not contain sufficient acrylic resin to act as an additional “binder" and should be used only in the amount needed to achieve the desired effect. Ideal for glazing or applying thick, highly transparent layers of brilliant color for depth and “stained-glass" effect. Formulated to have the least effect on color shift from wet to dry. May be overpainted. Acrylic color may be added directly into paste during application (note it will become lighter and ‘chalky’ and the resulting paste will have reduced body). Galeria Iridescent Medium - Developed to provide pearlescent effects when added to color. Most effective when used with transparent colors over dark under layers. Galeria Matte Medium - Creates a flat, even finish. Maintains brilliance of color while boosting transparency, adhesion and durability. Galeria Matte Varnish - a uniquely removable matte varnish which may be mixed with Galeria Gloss Varnish to vary the final finish. Galeria Satin Varnish - A uniquely removable satin varnish for the protection of finished acrylic paintings. Galeria Modeling Paste - a lighter weight, flexible modeling paste for use on canvas (to minimize sagging). Finely textured with a soft sculptural consistency. Suitable for building multiple layers. May be overpainted, color may be added directly to paste (will become lighter and more ‘chalky’, and give paste a reduced body). Matte finish.
