The paints also do mix beautifully with each other so they are easy to work with in many ways. I love the eggshell finish they give and many ask what brand of paints I use and I tell them Charvin! I have convinced many of my artist friends and my former students to give them a try and they love them so much that they purchase the entire line!” These specially curated sets are hand-picked by Michelle Courier for your painting pleasure to help you get the colors and supplies you need that go along with the photos and paintings seen on this page. Why Charvin Extra-Fine Acrylics by Michelle Courier “They are the most beautiful hues imaginable.”About Artist Michelle Courier Denver-based artist Michelle Courier is the artist and owner of Westward Gallery in Denver, Colorado in the Tennyson arts district. Michelle is the daughter of an artist and attended the University of Michigan to get her degree in painting and has been a professional free lance artist ever since. Michelle considers herself a realist, impressionist and abstract artist. She creates visible brush strokes and textures that allow two different ways to enjoy the painting. Up close her paintings are impressionistic, but from a distance, they almost look like photographs. The feeling of place is what Michelle is most interested in communicating through her landscape paintings. She presents to the viewer a sense of the time of day through the quality of light and to feel the temperature of the air. Scenes of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area are Michelle's favorite subject matter, “The water in Lake Tahoe can be deep blue, silver, or aqua green depending on the day and the clarity of the water is amazing!” Along with her own gallery Michelle has representation in several galleries across the US including Montana, California, Oregon, Michigan and Massachusetts. She is in many personal and corporate collections including the Hong Kong Bank of China (HSBC), Dow Corning ( Midland, MI), Chevron Corporation Headquarters ( Houston, TX), Upjohn Pharmaceuticals ( Kalamazoo, MI ), Delta College ( Saginaw, MI ), Dominos Farms ( Ann Arbor, MI ), Wells Fargo Headquarters (San Fransisco, CA ), Mid-Michigan Medical Center ( Midland, MI) as well as many others. " - Casey Baugh Baugh's work can be described as narrative impressionistic realism. Specializing in oil paint and charcoal, he began painting at the age of 13 and began selling professionally at age 17. Baugh's art has evolved over time to become more narrative. Though still maintaining figures as his prime subject matter, he is telling more stories, and his series and exhibits are becoming more thematic. On a constant quest to push new boundaries, he is persistent in experimenting with his inspirations and artistic translations, pursuing more complicated compositions, and achieving grander shows. Baugh has made several television appearances and has been featured on the covers of many publications, including The Artist's Magazine, American Artist's Magazine, and American Art Collector.
