GOLDEN acrylics offer excellent lightfastness with no fillers, extenders, opacifiers, toners, or dyes added. Each Heavy Body color is formulated differently depending on the nature of the pigment. Colors that tolerate higher pigment "loads" dry to a more opaque, matte finish. More reactive colors do not accept high pigment loads and will often dry to a glossy finish that is more transparent. GOLDEN Heavy Body colors contain no additives, such as matting agents; therefore, each color's gloss will differ. In 1998, Old Holland’s chemists began research in the area of acrylic paint colors, with the goal to create an exceptional professional acrylic paint line that was worthy of carrying the Old Holland name.
