Cleans Better and More Thoroughly Than Almost All Other Brush Cleaners and Solvents. Conditions Brushes Making The Hair Subtle Maintaining Maximum Working Quality. CCS Lavender Brush Cleaner™ is a safer, natural alternative to turpentine, petroleum mineral spirits and other toxic solvents. Made from 100% natural distilled fruits and flowers, featuring lavender, Chelsea Classical Studio's Lavender Brush Cleaner is a safer natural alternative to turpentine, petroleum mineral spirits and other toxic solvents. Lavender not only is more natural than harsh chemicals such as turpentine, but it also has a nice aroma that is often used in aromatherapy and other therapeutic holistic practices. It is very effective at cleaning oil paints from brushes during or after painting. Use it to clean paint from brushes while painting, and to thoroughly clean brushes after painting. What: Effective oil painting brush cleaner made from 100% natural distilled oil essences of fruits, flowers, and lavender. Why: Naturally safe, Safer alternative to turpentine; cleans brushes as well but with a lovely lavender scent! * Less abrasive to brushes than turpentine or mineral spirits * Pleasant scented, safe, natural alternative Key Features: * Safer natural alternative to turpentine * Pleasant aroma * Less abrasive to brushes than turpentine / mineral spirits * Made from natural oil essences of fruit, flowers and lavender * Made in the USA from Old World Master Techniques * Available in: 2 oz., 4 oz., 8 oz., 16 oz. and 32 oz. bottles Perfect For: * Cleaning brushes and palette knives * A cleaner and safer workspace * Artists looking for natural, environmentally friendly, cleaning products * Cleans better and more thoroughly "There is only one correct way to clean and preserve brushes of any kind. Immediately after use, the paint or varnish should be thoroughly rinsed out with the appropriate solvent..." -Ralph Mayer, the Artist's Handbook How To Use Lavender Brush Cleaner CCS Lavender Brush Cleaner™ can be used in the same way other cleaners are used: Rinse the brush with it during painting session to remove paint from brush, and thoroughly clean your brush in it after painting to remove paint and medium. We recommend using a natural oil based soap and warm water afterwards to complete the brush cleaning, moisturize the brush hairs and help preserve them. Ventilation: All essential oils/solvents should be used appropriately and with ventilation and common sense usage. Skin contact: As with all essential oils, you should always avoid skin contact, especially if you have skin issues. Skin contact for some people will not cause any problems, but because of the high concentration please be aware and take precautions when using Spike Oil or any other solvents. Allergies: Spike Lavender, in rare cases can be considered an allergen, as are many essential oils like Tea Tree Oil, etc. So all products containing Spike (the solvent, mediums and varnishes) see warnings regarding safety and clear directions for usage. The main reason this solvent is considered “safer” is because there are no known carcinogens or a lot of the health issues associated with Turpentine or Petroleum Mineral Spirits. However, like with all solvents when used in oil painting, you should have ventilation and limit skin contact. See More -

Cyanotype is one of the earliest photographic processes and is distinctive for its Prussian blue monochromatic prints. Famously, cyanotype was used by Ana Atkins and other field biologists for indexing plant specimens with what were called photograms at the time. The Cyanotype process is incredibly simple and only employs two inexpensive chemicals and UV sunlight. Prints can be created on any natural fiber: paper, cotton, silk, wool, wood, etc. Jacquard has made Cyanotype printing easy as pie with pre-sensitized fabric that is ready for cyanotype printing. Simply pull the sheet out of the package, place objects or an inverted photographic negative on top, expose to light for three to fifteen minutes, submerge the fabric in water to reveal the blue cyanotype print, and finally hang the fabric to line dry. With Jacquard’s Cyanotype Pretreated Mural Fabric you can actually create a full-body print by laying on top of the mural fabric for the duration of exposure while not moving. The creative possibilities for Photographers, Mixed Media Artists, and Quilters are endless! If you would prefer to use your own papers or fabric Jacquard has made the chemistry of Cyanotype attainable with lightproof black bottles of Potassium Ferricyanide and Ferric Ammonium Citrate. The chemicals used for cyanotype are inexpensive and go a long way. Despite their perhaps alarming names, both are safe to handle and mix. That said, care should be taken to avoid ingestion, inhalation, and contact with skin. The instructions for the use of Potassium Ferricyanide and Ferric Ammonium Citrate are included in the link bellow To easily transform any image into a negative, visit www.JacquardCyanotype.com. Negatives may be printed on SolarFast Film or any other film media. Jacquard’s Cyanotype Set includes: * Part A - Potassium Ferricyanide 0.8 oz/22.68 g * Part B - Ferric Ammonium Citrate 1.9 oz/53.86 g * Instructions This set contains enough chemistry to make approximately sixty-five 8.5"x11"/21.59 cm x 27.94 cm prints on paper or fifty 8.5"x11"/21.59 cm x 27.94 cm prints on fabric, depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Key Features: * Sun exposure time is 3-15 minutes * Pre-sensitized Cyanotype fabric Perfect For: * Quilters and Surface Design Artists * Photographers * Parties and events See More -
