Clear Leveling gel dries to a flexible, high gloss film while imparting a leveling quality when mixed with acrylic paint. It blends well with GOLDEN Acrylic colors to produce glazes. Clear Tar Resin Gel: GOLDEN Clear… Add texture, enhance color, and increase transparency! GOLDEN Gel Mediums allow you to easily manipulate acrylic paint to achieve various effects and expressions. An acrylic gel medium makes adding texture, enhancing color, and increasing transparency easier. Key Features: * 100% acrylic polymer emulsion * Add texture, enhance color * Increase transparency * Variety of effects * Click on the notepad icon for more information Perfect For: * Modifying paint handling characteristics * Extending heavy body paint * Impasto, relief, or sculptural effects * Adhesion and durability Clear Granular Gel: is made with granular acrylic solids and has excellent clarity and durability with a coarse texture that dries translucent. Clear Granular Gel can extend paint and add texture without altering color. Clear Leveling Gel: [formerly Self Leveling Clear Gel] produces an even film with excellent clarity. It has a unique resinous, stringy consistency resulting from its leveling property. Clear Leveling gel dries to a flexible, high gloss film while imparting a leveling quality when mixed with acrylic paint. It blends well with GOLDEN Acrylic colors to produce glazes. Clear Tar Resin Gel: GOLDEN Clear Tar Gel is a 100% acrylic polymer colorless gel with an extremely resinous, syrupy, stringy, and tar-like consistency. Clear Tar Gel can be used to generate fine, detailed lines by "dripping" it over painting surfaces. It can be blended with all GOLDEN Acrylic paints, offering a full range of colors with which to work, although Fluid Colors work best. Extra Heavy Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): Have the thickest consistency of any gel offered by GOLDEN. The gel may be blended with acrylic paint to increase the viscosity. Extra Heavy Gel is excellent for holding peaks and tool marks. Extra Coarse Pumice Gel: The textured gel dries to a hard film. They mix well with GOLDEN Acrylic Colors. Extra Coarse Pumice Gel creates more coarse textures to yield concrete-like finishes. Fine Pumice Gel: The textured gel dries to a hard film. They mix well with GOLDEN Acrylic Colors. Fine Pumice Gel is useful as a drawing ground. Glass Bead Gel: made with genuine glass beads, the gel offers a unique effect similar to condensation on glass. The effect is best seen in thin films over a light color. Heavy Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): is a thick gel that may be blended with acrylic colors to increase paint viscosity. Heavy Gels are excellent for holding peaks and dry translucent. The body of the gel will remain flexible even with thick impasto work. High Solid Gel (Gloss or Matte): are similar in body to Heavy Gels. They contain more acrylic solids and shrink slightly less than other gels. They blend well with colors and will retain brush strokes upon drying. Available in gloss and matte. Pumice Gel: Available in fine, coarse, and extra coarse texture. The textured gel dries to a hard film. They mix well with GOLDEN Acrylic Colors. Coarse Pumice Gel creates more coarse textures to yield concrete-like finishes. Regular Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): Regular Gel is ideal for extending paint and regulating transparency without changing consistency. Useful for impasto effects and holding moderate peaks of texture. They blend well with colors and will retain brush strokes upon drying. Soft Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss):Thinner than GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylic colors, Soft Gels are moderately pourable. Hold only slight peaks. The recommended acrylic to function as a glue for collaging. Useful as a non-removable isolation coat, applied over the painting and before the varnish (must be thinned with water - 2 parts Soft Gel Gloss to 1 part water). See More

R&F Handmade Paints - Encaustic Gesso, GallonSave Up to20%Off list…thick encaustic paint application and sculptural styles. * Damar Resin Crystals - A hard, clear resin from deciduous trees, Damar Resin Crystals are used to create encaustic mediums and paints. The ancient art of encaustic painting is brought into the 21st century with this excellent collection of handmade encaustic grounds, mediums, and raw materials from R&F! Enhance your encaustic paintings or make your own mediums to your specifications with this selection of fantastic ingredients. * Encaustic Gesso - This water-based ground is a modern version of the traditional gesso mix of rabbit skin glue and chalk. Specially formulated for encaustic painting, with a lower proportion of acrylic binder to solids, making it a more absorbent and receptive surface for wax-based paints. A quick and easy brushable white gesso. Specially formulated white ground for encaustics. * Encaustic Medium - Perhaps the most essential encaustic supply, Encaustic Medium is a blend of beeswax and damar resin, and is used to increase transparency and extend encaustic paints. It is important to use Encaustic Medium with your paints, as using only beeswax will reduce stability and produce a bloom on the painting that is only removable with heat. Available in either block or pellet form. Increases transparency and extends encaustic paints. * Impasto Modeling Wax - This heavy body wax medium is made from a mix of microcrystalline wax and beeswax. It is excellent for thick structural application, casting, carving, layering, and modeling. As Impasto Wax has a higher melting point than Encaustic Medium, you can apply standard encaustics over it without easily blunting sculptural shapes. Use for thick encaustic paint application and sculptural styles. * Damar Resin Crystals - A hard, clear resin from deciduous trees, Damar Resin Crystals are used to create encaustic mediums and paints. When mixed with beeswax, damar resin creates an encaustic binder that is stronger and more durable than beeswax alone, and also serves to raise the melting point of the wax. Damar is also used to create traditional oil painting mediums and varnishes. * White Beeswax (Pellets) - This natural beeswax has been whitened by mechanical filtration, instead of standard chemical bleaching, which can lead to negative pigment reactions and break wax down. Use White Beeswax as an ingredient in creating encaustic mediums and paints, along with Damar Resin, or as an initial priming layer for paper or board. Note that beeswax used alone in encaustics (without damar) is not as stable and is apt to bloom (become foggy). Use with damar resin to create encaustic paints and mediums. * Soy Wax (Pellets) - Made from partially hydrogenated soybean oil, Soy Wax is an environmentally friendly choice for cleaning encaustic brushes and tools. Unlike paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum products, Soy Wax is non-toxic, biodegradable, and made from an easily renewable resource. Use melted Soy Wax to remove color from painting materials, then wash tools or brushes in soapy water. Eco-friendly cleaning wax. See More

To do this, place the thermometer into the oven in the approximate location where you will be curing your piece; wait for the thermostat to adjust then adjust the temperature of your oven accordingly until the appropriate temperature is achieved. Kato Polyclay should be cured at about 300°F (150°C); however, it can be cured within the range of 275°F (135°C) and 325°F (165°C). It has been approved to be cured at 350°F (175°C). You should never exceed a temperature of 365°F (185°C) when curing Kato Polyclay. When cured at elevated temperatures, Kato Polyclay will become harder and more durable and have an increased surface gloss. For optimal strength, it is recommended that you cure your piece for 30 minutes. Curing Kato Polyclay for more extended periods will yield similar results as curing it at elevated temperatures; however, it is not recommended that you cure it for longer than the recommended time. Some projects may require that you cure a piece multiple times. For example, after adding an uncured piece of clay or another medium to it. When you create a project like this, it is a good idea to cure the piece in shorter increments of time. For example, if you were baking a piece three different times, it’s recommended that you cure the piece for 10 minutes the first two times and 30 minutes for the final curing this will save you time and ensure that your piece is permanent.
