White Centurion LX Linen Stretched Canvas. Master quality 3/4" Deep 11oz weight linen canvas! Centurion LX linen canvas is a hearty 11oz triple primed acid-free linen canvas suitable for oils, acrylics, alkyds and caseins. Larger sizes are braced to remain stable providing a rigid support for your paintings. Hand-stretched onto the back of kiln-dried pine wood stretcher bars these canvases are keyable for tightening and re-stretching if you wish to for any reason. 3/4" deep LX is fine for most techniques and may be painted for frameless presentation. The entire Centurion line provides high quality and affordable pricing. Back stapled allowing you to use corner key to tighten and allowing for re-stretching if needed. World famous Centurion linen canvas closely parallels the true nature of canvas and is made to satisfy even the toughest critics. Unlike cotton, linen has long fibers that resist deterioration for at least 5 centuries and as much as 2,000 years with proper care. You can frame the 1-1/2" deep canvas or hung it as is. The canvas is stretched onto genuine pine stretcher bars and folded to create a crisp, neat corners. Is linen or cotton canvas better? Linen is strong and durable, and remains the preferred surface for many artists. Linen is more expensive than cotton and retains its natural oils, which helps to preserve the fiber's flexibility and stops the canvas from becoming brittle.
