The Botanical Watercolor I objective is to introduce the "Three P's" = Paint, Process, Presentation. We recommend the items below for their quality. You can add to your supply of paints after you understand basic paint characteristics. The watercolor brush must have a full barrel to hold the right amount of paint or water and it must spring back into shape when applying paint. The Academy teaches a two-brush method. Use one brush to apply paint and a second, of the same size, to apply water. This saves you money because you are not rinsing useful paint off your brush. We recommend the beautiful RAPHAEL ROUNDS #8404 as listed below: Two each #00, #0, #1, #2, #3, and #5. Or, at the least one set, plus an extra #2 and #3. Order two Scrubber Brushes, Size #2, for mixing brushes.
