To remove the O-Ring and start painting simply remove the spray cap and turn the can upside down. If the O-Ring does not fall off on its own you can use something small to pop it off. Make sure you check to see if the O-Ring is on the can before assuming that the spray can is defective and unable to spray.

It removes residues of paint, lacquer, silicone, wax, tar, and de-greasing. It is suitable for pre-treatment before painting objects or to remove paint residues after painting.
