GOLDEN Acrylic 16oz High Flow Medium

With excellent transparency and leveling properties, GOLDEN High Flow Medium is the perfect additive to create transparent acrylic colors with exceptional film integrity and permanency. GOLDEN High Flow Medium is the ideal extender for thinning GOLDEN High Flow Acrylics, but you can also mix the medium with thicker acrylics that are considered heavy body. Due to its excellent spraying and anti-clog properties, you can mix the High Flow Medium with GOLDEN Airbrush Colors for spray gun application. You can also use it as a top coat finish on artwork that needs a tough hard film.

Mixing: High Flow Medium can be combined with GOLDEN Airbrush Colors or High Flow Acrylics in any ratio desired, allowing precise control of color transparency. Adding High Flow Medium will keep the paint level balanced for a faster drying film, without losing sprayability.

Spraying Iridescent and Interference Colors: GOLDEN Iridescent and Interference colors can be reduced with High Flow Medium for spray-applications. Testing has shown reflectance to be higher when High Flow Medium is used instead of GOLDEN Airbrush Medium.

Drying Recommendations: When working with frisket, allow sufficient time for the paint film to dry and avoid using unnecessary force during application. A ten minute drying time is recommended. You can use a hairdryer or heat lamp to shorten drying times. Still, exercise caution as excessive heat can create air bubbles, or interfere with film formation and produce a fragile film.

General Information: Paint on non-oily surfaces. You should scuff-up non-absorbent surfaces with sandpaper for increased adhesion. Stir acrylic paint gently before blending with GOLDEN Airbrush Colors or High Flow Acrylics. Careful blending is required to minimize foam generation. Extreme shaking or stirring traps air bubbles, which may result in surface defects. Keep tools wet during use and clean with soap and water. Do not allow the product to dry in the airbrush—clean airbrush with water and ammonia or alcohol.
