Turner Contest Gallery of Winners
Trocodero by Bill Lachance

First Place Winner
"Trocodero"
by Bill Lachance of St. Louis, MO

"I find Turner Acryl Gouache to be the ideal medium for my paintings. The range of color is wonderful and it allows me to get the colors as exact as I need it, with excellent opacity and a perfect pigment quantity. Another virtue of Acryl Gouache is the absence of the "color shift" that can happen with other brands as the paint dries again, allowing for a more efficient process. Another thing I love about Turner Acryl Gouache is the availability of different surface options---the "Japaneseque" colors create a wonderful fresco-like surface that is ideal for dry brush effects. I highly recommend Turner Acryl Gouache to all of my colleagues."

Rainy Mornings by Kimberly Wakeman

Second Place Winner
"Rainy Mornings"
by Kimberly Wakeman of Long Eddy, NY

"I highly recommend Turner Gouache because it has ample body, yet smooth application and does not "break" on the surface, but rather glides across the paper, canvas, or board in smooth, rich strokes. Perfect for my realist paintings, the intense and true color pigments add a dimension like no other brand of gouache, allowing me to replicate verdigris bronze, marble, and delicate fern leaves in my paintings successfully."

Koi Pond Garden by Christine Joelle McIntyre Hannon

Third Place Winner
"Koi Pond Garden"
by Christine Joelle McIntyre-Hannon of North Scituate, RI

"As a professional artist I had always worked in Acrylics. This past year I decided to try Turner Acryl Gouache in order to speed up my painting time and to work smaller.
Since the pigments used in this product are the highest quality, I have been able to get extreme detail and superior opaque coverage. My original intent was to use this product for reproduction work only, but due to my ability to layer paint and the uniform final finish of my paintings, I will be using Turner Acryl Gouache for my plein air and studio fine art work as well!"
