Rated 4 out of 5 by from The zipper is bad This is a first impression. I haven't even used it yet, but I've used enough tools and materials to say it looks like a pretty good product. The BIGGEST fault is the zipper on the carry bag. After opening it, the zipper sticks and breaks not making it seal. The travel bag seems alright for a bag, but the zipper has to go. Winsor and Newton has had a great reputation for its products. So why cheap on the zipper? Change the zipper for a VERY good one. I'm going to have to replace it as a result and will let you know how long the travel bag lasts. Yes, Ive read the other reviews and I can see it being a delicate set up. However, watercolor is a delicate medium. So anyone with an ounce of reason, will understand, you don't handle the stand too ruff. After I set up the easel once, it was quite simple. However, after turning the screw on the back of one of the metal pieces, the paint just chipped away. I haven't even used it, and the paint already fell off. Otherwise, in comparison with other cumbersome easels, this one seems very easy to set up with the locks for the stand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect. Can be tricky to set up depending on terrain. Once set up it provides a sturdy support. Very adjustable. Has to be partially disassembled to store in the pouch that comes with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good deal for the price. I use this doing field studies in water colors. The adjustable legs work well. The tilting head, though made of what seems to be cheap plastic, seems to work well. The small tray that mounts on the extra sliders on the legs is handy, but I mounted a platform on it to hold my paints. The sliding track system for holding the board needs to be changed. It isn't fully adjustable, so I had to cut about 5 inches off of the slider in order to be able to have it fit the sizes I use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has some flaws This is tricky to set up, it takes a while to learn what to do. The threads on the nut at the end of the t-bar are not long enough and fell off repeatedly. I finally lost it in the field, replaced it with a wing nut and lost that, finally the t-bar slipped out and was lost in the field also. I've contacted the company to see if I can get a replacement part. Would recommend with reservations. Has anyone else and this problem?
