Girault Soft Pastels
Pastels Girault were first available to artists in 1780, making them one of the oldest hand-made soft pastels in the world. The unique characteristics of these pastels let the color adhere extremely well to paper, making it unnecessary to use a fixative. They are more dense and firm than other soft pastels, making them perfect for not only large background shading, but also for creating sharp lines and edges. During the 19th and 20th centuries Pastel Girault earned several awards during exhibitions in Paris, which made them a trusted name in pastels throughout the world.
