Blockx Fine Oil Paints and Watercolors
Founded in 1865 by Jacques Blockx, these Belgian artists' colors have been hand-ground using only the finest raw materials for five generations. Blockx uses only hand-operated stone mills to grind their pigments, and all their colors rate no less than 7-8 on the Blue Wool Scale of light fastness, for near-perfect permanence. Salvador Dali praised Blockx paints, and they have been used by many world renowned artists over the years. Staying true to the founder's guiding principles for creating superior colors, Blockx has never crafted anything second-rate, and focus only on making the finest professional artists' oils and watercolors in time-honored methods.
