Brush HairSP MIX-This is a proprietary blend of soft hair that feels like Fitch hair but holds much more color than Fitch. They hold a lot of thinned paint for glazing for exacting strokes over great areas and fine details over smaller areas. Excellent for dabbing too. Semi-coarse feel. Medium brush stroke evidenced after painting.
KOLINSKY RED SABLE-Made of only the finest Kolinsky hair that has been stored and brought out of the vault, especially for these brushes. As the climate becomes warmer newer hair is not as full and not as springy. Brushes made with this hair will provide the most exact control for various painting techniques. Soft feel. Least brush stroke evidenced after painting.
HOG BRISTLE-Not all bristle hair is created equal. This hair is the very finest available on earth. Then it is treated to be soft and pliable to reduce the breaking of the hair when painting and to provide the most control possible. Coarse feel. Most brush stroke evidenced after painting.
FerruleSilver nickel-plated seamless ferrules are used for these brushes. They are the very best in use today.
HandleMade in Germany these wood handles provide a balanced feel and are impeccably fashioned. The superior crimping of the brush head (hair and ferrule) onto the wood handle assures long use.
