Bright, simplistic, and modern, Pop Art was a movement that took the most mundane and unassuming of subject matter and dialed it up to an “11”. Portraiture, on the other hand, tends to evoke thoughts of the classic, Renaissance-style works; dark underpaintings with dozens of methodically glazed layers. This fun demo brightens up the boredom of portraiture and brings a Warhol/Lichtenstein style out to play, while using the unexpectedly loose and fun water-soluble oil pastels to execute the portrait work!
