The paper mill uses hydroelectric power to reduce greenhouse emissions and FSC certified pulp to protect forests. Winsor & Newton dyes the high cotton content pastel papers in a pulp bath to give each sheet the appropriate texture and strength for pastels. The neutrally sized paper has a grainy, rough surface that is ideal for dry pigment uptake. Free from acids and optical brighteners, this paper is archival and resistant to aging.
