Questions and Answers:

Does Grey Matter? – Yes, The human brain is compensating in ways we cannot imagine when we have colored handles and reflective ferrules. The Neutral Grey top to bottom brush makes a painting without interference from other colors make sense!

Does a nonreflective ferrule matter? Yes, The reflection of light off of the ferrule is a distraction. When you regularly use the Grey Matters Brushes it becomes apparent how the reflection off of a ferrule has affected concentration!

Are all Synthetic Brush heads the same? No, The filaments that make a synthetic brush can range wildly from student quality to Professional – Determined by the number of different fibers and type that make up the brush head. The fewer different types of filaments – typically the lower grade.

Does the color of the brush fibers affect the quality? No, however, the fibers of economy brushes are typically bleached white. A color such as the Grey in Grey Matters is done to accomplish a result (Neutral to the eye)

What is the quality of a Richeson Grey Matters Brush?  Only the Highest quality synthetic fibers are selected for Grey Matters Brushes – mixed to accomplish very specific firmness, softness, and paint loading properties.

Can a grey Matters Watercolor Brush be used for acrylic painting? YES!!! If the painter desires a softer brush head when painting.

Can I use my brushes for both Oil and Acrylic paint (Interchange) Once used for a medium – it should ONLY be used for that medium – it is not possible to sufficiently clean a brush to use for different mediums – at best it is risky
