The BEST Aluminum Heavy-duty Stretcher Bar provides superior strength and stability. These stretcher bars are BEST’s original Heavy-duty bars with added aluminum for maximum strength. These bars feature a larger stapling area and BEST’s signature rounded profile—allowing the canvas to drape over the front and eliminating “ghosting."
The Heavy-duty bar is made of pine that has been finger spliced. Finger splicing is a method of bonding pieces of lumber together to form a very long, straight stronger bar. Select sizes available in 1" increments from 11" to 160". (see Full Description for ALL details)

These bars feature a larger stapling area and BEST’s signature rounded profile—allowing the canvas to drape over the front and eliminating “ghosting."
The Heavy-duty bar is made of pine that has been finger spliced. Finger splicing is a method of bonding pieces of lumber together to form a very long, straight bar. Since the spliced joints are actually stronger than the natural wood, we can now get longer, stronger and straighter bars than ever before. All Stretcher Bars are undersized by ⅛" to allow for fitting in a standard stock frame. If you require exact dimensions this will be considered a custom order. Please call our Order Department 800-827-8478 ext. 218.
Select sizes available in 1" increments from 11" to 160". For custom orders, including fractional sizes call our Order Dept. 800-827-8478 ext. 218. Sizes larger than 144" would be considered a custom order and would incur an additional cost.
