Genuine Pine Wood Stretcher Bars, 3/4" Deep, 1.75" Wide
Pro-Lite Stretcher Bars are made of kiln-dried solid pine and measure 1-3/4" in with a depth of 3/4". The stretcher bars feature the traditional tongue and groove corner ends that you can quickly assemble by interlocking two strips to form a canvas corner. They also feature a uniform beaded edge, so the canvas is slightly offset, to ensure that there will be no "ghost" impressions on the canvas. For re-stretching a painting, the bead is on both sides; therefore, you can turn the frame around and staple into raw wood on the back if you ever need to re-stretch. Pro-Lite Bars measure 1-3/4" in width and are a genuine 3/4" deep, while most brand leaders are only 1-5/8" wide and 5/8" deep. This 1/8" difference creates a sturdier frame. Although some stretcher bars do not use consistent types of wood, (some are Pine, some are Poplar, and some could be Bass), Pro-Lite bars are always made of Pine, so you know you are getting consistent quality.
