Jacquard Procion MX Ice Dye Set of 6 Colors
Great for tie-dye beginners, this set contains 2 oz jars of Spumoni, Nebula, Black Opal, Meteorite, Poinsettia, and Rainforest.
Ice dyeing is one of the easiest and most rewarding dyeing experiences. The process is simple: soak the cotton fabric in a soda ash solution (not included), then wring it out and tie, fold, or scrunch it up. Place the tied fabric in a colander, cover with ice or snow, and sprinkle dye over the ice. Allow the ice to melt in a warm place overnight, and then rinse and wash 24-48 hours later.
The ice causes the component colors of the blended dye to split and separate, producing incredible crystalline patterns, almost like a kaleidoscope. Jacquard's new Ice Dye colors are formulated to provide the most dramatic and distinct color splits possible.
This dye kit works well with cotton, linen, canvas, hemp, and rayon.
