Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very ornate These frames are ornate and heavy in appearance. May be to 'old fashioned' for some styles. Traditional works will be best in this style, landscape, portraits, still life. I have ordered many of these frames and have had to touch up small flaws in probably 25% of them. Buy a bottle of gold leaf liquid from Jerrry --- about $7. It is worth the effort because these frames are such a great value. I use on all sizes from 8 x 10 up to 24 x 30. They are heavy so be sure to use thick wire for hanging. These frames will enhance your art and add creditability to your work.

The frame looks beautiful, not as "gold" as shown on photo, more like antique gold. Nice construction, good packaging. However, the wire was missing on both frames. Customer service agreed to mail it separately. Overall, very pleased. The frame makes your artwork look very classy. I also got lucky by purchasing the frames on sale, a real bargain,

The frames I found in the stores in my area did not do justice to my friend's art. I wanted something that looked estate and classy, the prizzi frames did the trick. These landscapes look like "the masters" in my dining room.

As an artist that refuses to pay those outrageous prices to have a painting framed; I do the work myself. These frames provide a perfect finish to my oil paintings, and my customers have been very complimentary to the finished product. I've always heard it said that a frame will make or break a painting, and what I've ordered so far have diffantly made my paintings the best they could be!

Is it the inside measurements when choosing a frame? My acrylic painting is 18"x24" and I'm looking for a black frame with a white matt.

Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork and order that size frame.

Will a 12X16 canvas fit in the 12X16 Prizzi frame?

Thank you for contacting JerrysArtarama.com. The Prizzi frame has a 5/16" rabbet depth and cannot accommodate the depth of a canvas you are interested in framing. This frame is best suited to canvas panels or matted artwork. You could use a 12x16" panel with one of the 12x16" Prizzi frames. I hope that this information is helpful.
