Rated 5 out of 5 by The Art Supplies Scholar from Great choice for Cartoon sketching tool I love the fact that these pens are finally available in dozen boxes, for I used to have to get several complete manga kits to replace just the 0.6 and 1.0 mm pens every year. I could use up one or two 0.6 mm pens and one 1.0 mm pen in a single 4-hour caricature drawing session. While featuring the reliable archival waterproof pigmented black ink Sakura Pigma pens are known for, I find their barrels more comfortable for extended drawing sessions and enjoy the line weight variation that you can accomplish by adjusting the pressure and the drawing angle. Since their rich black ink is odorless, they are also a good choice for working indoors and small enclosed spaces unlike markers with strong xylene solvent smell. They are my pen of choice for sketching and inking cartoon characters and my class reference sheet hand outs. It would be nice if the nibs were a bit more durable, but I tend to use several pens of the same size at the same time so I have the full range of sharp nibs to blunt ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joleene Naylor from Love these pens! I use these pens for my weekly webcomic, as well as for the occasional book cover and have always been delighted. This is my fourth set in two years (I have to replace them every six months or so. They have a nice, smooth ink and they're also waterproof; i used them for a watercolor painting and painted right over them and they did not run or smear.
