Sustainable Paints with the Legendary Flashe Matte Finish

Lefranc Bourgeois brings sustainability to the studio with Flashe Biobased Paints. The binder is 97% biobased, and the paints are packed in 100% recycled packaging. Made in France, these professional-quality paints deliver the iconic ultra-matte, velvety finish that artists love, in an eco-conscious formula designed for modern creators.

These paints adhere beautifully to canvas, wood, paper, metal, glass, and ceramic, no primer needed. The smooth, even paint finish hides brushstrokes, even when your art is photographed or displayed under bright lights. Special properties in the paint allow you to apply the same color to different surfaces without any big color shift, and you can dilute the paint with water to create wash effects.

FLASHE Colors have a uniform 30-minute drying time, and once dry, they are water-resistant. You can only remove the paint with alcohol-based solvents.

Watercolor: To create washes and patinas, dilute with between 1/3 and 2/3 water as desired.

Varnish: Matt varnish can be applied on top to maintain the vibrancy of the color without altering the shade. Gloss varnish will make shades a tone deeper and more vivid. Varnish is recommended for all outside applications.
