Initially developed for acrylic fibers like faux fur, wigs, and yarn Jacquard Basic Dyes are also great for dyeing wood, reeds, straw, paper, leather, and hemp! You can even create your own custom alcohol ink colors by adding some of the dye powder to Piñata Claro Extender.

Basic Dyes can be used to dye fibers such as silk and wool; however, they tend to have poor light and wash-fastness on fabric.

The set includes eight 0.50 oz jars of Basic Dye powder in the following colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, and Black.
