From Great American i can advise the plein air set of McDaniel. This set is fantastic to try out this wonderfull sticks.This Box contains lovely colours arrangend in value.

They are square, which prevents them from rolling off the table and breaking. I have tried many brands but this is the best of them all. They are worth every penny.

I'm enjoying working with this product and all of the colors (except one, so far) shade easily, apply smoothly and "feel" good. I like the 1/2 stick size, don't have to break and watch the crumbs flake away to waste. This pastel beginner would recommend this product. SML
