Set-up this lamp right next to your easel, or use it to light subjects for still life or portrait painting. With its special color corrected 75 watt bulb, the Colorview™ 2 Artists' Mud Lamp lets you see subjects in their true color value, just as you would if you were painting in natural sunlight.

The professional, sturdy tripod stand has a 10" diameter aluminum reflector shade that casts light evenly over a large area. Shade can be swiveled and angled to an infinite number of positions, providing an extensive range of lighting possibilities. Folds down to a mere 31" for storage and opens to as high as 7 feet. Equipped with an eight foot cord, wood safety positioning knob and rubber tipped feet. UL approved. A must for all studio painters.

Includes one 75 Watt Chromalux Standard Frosted Bulb.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rebec from Handy dandy! The Mud Lamp came with the perfect bulb to simulate natural lighting. This is important to me, as I do not use natural light from windows, but rather control the studio lighting situation. The lamp is light weight and easy to move and adjust.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mary K from Working fine—goid lighting. Nice height and good, natural light. Was not easy to assemble only because instructions are lacking. The light attaches to the stand with a ball-and-socket type of connection. Once you realize that, it’s simple and quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Margaux from Perfect for studio or travel I needed more light in my studio especially for evening work, and this lamp works perfectly. It's lightweight, adjusts to many heights, and is easily transported or stowed away. The tripod legs are stable on a flat surface. Haven't used it on a rug, but I imagine it would be fine. No assembly required except to put the lamp on. I like the wooden peg for moving the lamp to wherever I need light.

It came with a light bulb but I had to buy another one because it was too blue. I needed one that was Daylight. The only complaint I have is that it is very light weight and can tip easily if I bump into it.

It is lightweight and does need some floor space for the tripod legs, but so easy to move it is not a problem. It is easy to make adjustments and fold away when not in use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Practical Senior from Great Asset! This light works well since I need to be seated while painting. I put it behind my right shoulder and it illuminates the whole medium sized canvas. It doesn't put out too much heat like other lamps I have tried and I can squeeze it into a small space. I could have used a longer cord and maybe a 100 wat buld. I got it on sale but probably would not have bought it at the regular price.

Thank you for contacting us. We have a pdf copy of the assembly instructions that we can send to you if you need the picture diagram. 1. Place clamp pieces on the fixture. 2. Place the bolt through the square hole. 3. While holding the pieces together carefully slip them over the ball part of the stand. Tighten the wing-nut. As long as you use an aluminum reflector shade that casts light evenly over a large area and a color corrective bulb you will be able to produce the same effect. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
