Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for measuring round objects I used this product when I was in high school for two years. Not only is it great for measuring rugular straight things, but also for measuring circular and curvy objects as well! They're also very affordable too. Very well priced as well. It's pretty much a bendable ruler.

Is this good, smooth tool for drawing curved lines with a technical pen or colored pencil?

You could try to use the flexible ruler like that. We do not have any reviews on how the ruler would work in that capacity. This item is intended to be used as a measuring ruler. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
