I need strong-variable lightening as I work in production of paintings and mixed media projects-- and this light is great for all those applications.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mgv from Great lamp, poor clamp I gave it 4 stars because of the clamp. The lamp is excellent. Use it on my drawing table. The clamp is meant for a level table, not an inclined table. I ordered a clamp for inclined tables from the manufacturer and due to the weight of the lamp even that one doesn't hold and twists off the table.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Aerosail from Glad I finally made this purchase I badly needed new easel lighting and just as badly needed the light to represent lighting used to display my art in galleries. I simply cannot afford producing off color works. The embarrassment of unprofessional work is not acceptable in our line of work. This is the only problem with the light. I LOVE the light otherwise and highly recommend it for anybody needing great illumination. I am patiently awaiting the arrival of the Daylight Professional Artist Lamp II. I'm hoping the color will be right with that lamp.

I needed a lamp that would give a greater area of illumination, and this lamp will do just that. Only thing is that it advertizes the lamp as "Daylight", but this is not true. Temperature of the bulbs that come wtih this lamp is closer to 6,000 kelvin, which is very blue. When I first set it up in my paint station, I was taken back by such blue color of lighting. The lamp uses three T5 fluoresent tube bulbs. I went to a local hardware store, and switched 2 out of 3 bulbs with 3500 kelvin bulbs to balance out the blue color since they didn't carry Daylight bulbs (4,000 - 5,000 kelvin) for T5 shape. Now that the color tempreture issue is corrected, I'm loving this lamp! It's a great buy.

The light is very bright and really helps me to see the detail I'm working on. The cord could be a little longer, but I'm totally satisfied with the product. I'm glad I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RKL from Love this lamp I purchased this lamp from another source and was unhappy when I found it at Jerry's for less, otherwise I love this lamp. It puts out a beautiful clear bright light with an area large enough to see a full 22x30 sheet of watercolor paper at night. I have only had the lamp about a month but so far this is the best lamp I have found for my drawing table and I have gone through several such as Verilux, Ott, Daylight just to name a few. This one beats all of them. At this price I would get a second one if I could find a space for a second work area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brenda19605 from Best Lamp I Own This is the best lamp I own. It puts out much more light than any of the 3 Ott lamps I own. I am legally blind but can still see some. I do fine work in hand crafts such as crochet, knitting, beading, and drawing. This lamp works great to illuminate all of the work so I can position a closed-circuit television (cctv) camera over my work. The work has to be bright so the cctv camera can magnify the image and allow me to see what I am doing on a monitor. This light is less expensive than my Ott lamps and puts out more light. Great value for the money.

It is awsome, beautiful clear lighting and only one lamp to deal with. It also doesn't put out as much heat as the others did.

The clamp should work on that table. The manufacturer Daylight does not give the maximum dimensions of the table clamp, but they do provide the following information about the clamp; Strong metal lamp stem and clamp for safe working conditions Ideal for work stations, benches and large tables in factories, laboratories and schools
