These premium panels from Jack Richeson are the ideal surface for any artist working in acrylics, alkyds or even caesin! Made from Richeson's superior grade hardboard with a solid fiber core, these tempered panels are extremely strong and warp-resistant. Premium Toned Gessoed Panels have been double-coated with a high quality toned gesso resulting in a beautifully even, lightly-toothed surface that bonds perfectly with the hardboard panel and will not separate. Whether you are working in acrylics, alkyds, traditional or water-soluble oil paints, Richeson's 1/8" deep Premium Gessoed Hardboard Panels are the perfect painting surface that is ready to paint!

With beautifully beveled edges, these warp-resistant tempered panels are covered with a high-quality toned gesso and are produced with a double coat waterfall system for a perfect lightly toothy surface. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Gessoed Hardboard for Oil Paint I am an oil painter with a watercolor background, so use washes as well as thick painting. Unlike other gessoed hardboards, (I have used 3 types), it is not too smooth so that the paint wipes off when you add the next paint stroke, nor too rough so that a texture comes though if you paint washes. The tooth is close to Arches Hotpress Paper.
