Each pochade box is equipped with an adjustable arm that allows you to adjust the angle of the easel from totally flat for watercolor to tilted forward for pastel work. A crucial element of these boxes is the sturdy tripod mounting plate, which supports the quick-release Sienna Plein Air Tripod (sold separately) and holds firm under the most challenging outdoor conditions. The high-impact, washable, white plastic trays hold anything from pastel chalks like Nu-Pastels to handmade Unison pastels. The outside is made entirely of aluminum measuring 17-3/4" × 14-3/4" and is only 2-1/8" thick. Four stackable trays are layered with impact-absorbing foam, so your pastels get from location to location in the best possible shape.
