Natural Versatile Contemporary Frames Designed For Artists! The clean, lovely lines of Ambiance Gallery Frames pair perfectly with all types of artwork. They accept stretched artwork, wood panels, boards, and flat matted artwork. Each frame is made to the most demanding standards with unbreakable acrylic glazing and rigid MDF wood panel backing. The frames have a 7/8" face with a crisp, clean line and are 1.5" deep with a rabbet measuring 1-1/8". This enormous rabbet depth allows you to frame almost any standard-sized canvas. Select from 9 lovely finishes, including Natural, White, Black, Mahogany, Cherry, Espresso, Walnut, White Wash, and Antique Gold. The variety of finishes allows you to select a frame that complements your painting. Natural Eco-Friendly Frames Made of Sustainable Wood Ambiance Eco Frames are made of sustainably grown wood and feature a flat-front profile for an attractive minimalist look. Rubberwood is less brittle than hardwood, and bamboo is denser than hardwoods like ash and maple. Each frame comes with lightweight acrylic glazing, hardboard backing, and hardware. The break-resistant acrylic glazing is lighter than glass and is protected on both sides from scratches and smudges by a thin film that can be removed before use. It’s very easy to install flat artwork in these frames. Simple turn buttons on the backing board slide into slots on the inside edge of the frame, allowing you to swap out art quickly. Sizes 3x5" through 10x14" feature an easel back for tabletop display. All of the frames feature D-ring style loops attached to the backing board for hanging in either direction. Ambiance Eco Frames neatly define but never overwhelm your artwork. Pair your Eco Frame with an Ambiance mat (sold separately) for a professional look. Bamboo is available in a natural finish clear coat, and rubberwood is available in black. The trees are mainly grown for the latex sap they produce, but once the tree reaches the end of its lifecycle and stops excreting sap, the wood is harvested for processing. New trees are planted to replace the trees that are harvested. Bamboo is also a remarkable green material because it prevents soil erosion, supplies biofuel, and provides a wholesome food source for wildlife. Bamboo produces more oxygen and can absorb more carbon dioxide compared to an equivalent tree mass. Additionally, it does not take very long to regrow a bamboo crop.
