Blending & Glazing Brushes -
- Perfect for painting on wet paper
- Great for blending on rough watercolor paper
- Makes glazing simpler with less touch-up
- With special handle and non-staining ferrules
"These brushes reflect a lifetime of tinkering to find the best brush money can buy for easier blending and glazes. Most wash brushes hold lots of color but I wanted one that I could use on wet paper. The bristle hair holds a lot of paint but little water, so you can lay larger and bolder shapes into the wet paper. Cold Pressed and rough surfaces are lovely to work on but when I need to blend, I really need a brush that will work its way into the tooth of the paper. The stiffer bristles do this better than softer hairs. You'll find them to be excellent for loosing edges and blending.
These brushes will soon be your favorite glazing brush because they hold just enough water to allow one large or two stroke glazing without delivering too much water and color. The flat edge and larger sizes of these brushes allow you to create thick and sharp chiseled shapes.
You may have noticed from the picture that the handle looks rather strange. I assure you it was not a mistake. The handle is custom designed to allow you to hold it for more natural and easy motion. You'll also want to note that we went state-of-the-art on these brushes for long life. Each with stainless steel plated ferrules that won't rust. They are also attached to high quality blue resin handles that will never chip or crack. Try one today and if you don't love this brush, give it back to us and we willbe glad to refund your full purchased price." - Sterling Edwards

Sterling Edwards has designed a series of brushes that not only allow you to create beautiful paintings but are made to last and are affordable. Brushes in this "Signature" brush collection are made with brush heads with fine nylon brush filament hair. This filament holds just enough color to deliver excellent results without deluging the paper with too much water. The filament hair is characterized by its excellent shaping abilities and its incredible brush response which allows the brush head to snap back to shape after each stroke. The slim profile of the flat brushes allow controlled applications of color while maintaining a sharp edge allowing you to "cut-in" shapes without difficulties.
The round brushes are excellent for fine detail or large wash strokes. The shape and resiliency maintains a crisp point through each stroke creating a harmonious relationship between the eye-paper-brush. Sterling's trademark blue plastic handles eliminate the aggravation of paint cracking and chipping off the brush handle. All brush handles are attached to the brush head with a seamless rust proof ferrule to insure long time painting pleasure.
