Shiva Paintstik Oil Colors - Tradition, Quality & Stability

Richeson Shiva Paintstiks® are solid oil paints in stick-form that easily blend straight from your stick onto paper, board or canvas. Great for Plein Aire painting and quick sketches. Use with painting medium and brush for adding detail or creating soft blends. Colorless and Iridescent blender sticks are easy to use since no mediums are required. Paint dries to the touch within 24 hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sweets Eater from Easy to blend colors I have used these sticks on polymer clay, walls, fabric, wood, and love how easy the colors blend. You can use wax paper for your pallet, throw it away when you are done. The brushes often I don't clean for years, and are still good to go. A little goes along way. Once the sticks "heals" and you have to trim it, one must be careful not to get the shavings on clothes, floors, etc. I realize this, and am careful where I shave them. I have tried other sticks, but non compare.

They are so portable and versatile, and I use them on paper, canvas, and boards. The colors and textures are just like oil paints- without any mess or clean up. The set has many great colors that I use in paints. I will certainly get another set when mine are used up!
