Archival Fixative Sprays to Protect Drawings and Pastels

Direct from the experience of French art purveyor Sennelier, this line of fine art fixative sprays is like no other. Sprays are individualized for specific applications, allowing for degrees of protection for specific media, protecting them in the most archival way possible. Sprays are clear and non-yellowing, and feature protection for Graphite and Charcoal drawings, Oil Pastels, Soft Pastels, and a general Universal Fixative.
Delacroix Fixative: The perfect formulation to seal and protect works in graphite and charcoal. Clear and non-yellowing, Delacroix is heavier than Latour Fixative to completely protect against smearing.
d’Artigny Oil Pastel Fixative: A blend of vinyl resin and alcohol base, this totally transparent fixative leaves a clear and glossy film to protect oil pastels against dust and smearing.
Later Soft Pastel Fixative: A resin and alcohol-based solution that protects soft pastel artwork and seals them to the support. Apply lightly.
HC10 Universal Fixative Spray: Made from protective acrylic resin, this fixative is perfect for artists who need a powerful fixative that will not alter the appearance of their artwork.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite I have been painting with pastels for over 25 years and have tried a wide variety of workable fixatives. This is one of my favorites. The spray is not too heavy and wet but effective enough to reasonably stabilize and isolate layers of pastel. The odor is less offensive than many fixatives, but still must be used outdoors or in a well ventilated area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great pastel fixitive I use this fixative for my pastels. It is the best I have found. I spray it early on after I have my image down, then I spray halfway through, then the final spray. I apply pastel heavily towards the end, and this really helps seal my finished work.
