These mediums thicken or thin without harming the color's adhesive, binding or film forming qualities. Myriad effects such as increased flow and rapid and slow drying of color may be achieved. The oils, resins and solvents in these mediums have been selected to guard against yellowing and cracking, and have proven themselves over many generations of use. Alkyd Medium - Speeds drying time and gives a beautiful painterly consistency to alkyd and oil colors. Enhances transparency and translucency of the paint. Color appears rich and intense.
Cobalt Drier - The recommended drier for fine arts oil paintings. Use with other mediums or a directly with oil color.
Copal Painting Medium - A resinous consistency perfect for glazing and wet-in-wet techniques.
Damar Varnish - A final varnish for oil paintings where moderately high gloss is desired. Made of pure gum damar.
Japan Drier - A reliable alkyd resin based liquid drier for artists' oil colors.
Odorless Thinner - Clear, organic solvent for thinning oil colors, cleaning brushes and painting accessories.
Oil Painting Medium No. 1 - Use when a matte finish is desired, especially on absorbent gesso grounds. Made from poppy seed oil, copaiba, balsam and solvent.
Oil Painting Medium No. 2 - For use with oils to retard drying time. Contains poppy seed oil, mastic resin, alkyd resin and Grumtine.
Oil Painting Medium No. 3 - Accelerates drying time. Contains copaiba, balsam, stand oil, mastic resin, alkyd resin, cobalt and manganese driers.
Pale Drying Oil - Accelerates drying time of oil colors. Consists of linseed oil and manganese drier.
Poppy Seed Oil - A fine quality, slow drying, purified oil that retards drying time. Provides excellent color retention and resistance to yellowing.
Purified Linseed Oil - Finest quality purified alkali refined linseed oil to smooth brush strokes.
Retouch Varnish - For brightening uneven areas of oil paintings. An excellent varnish for protecting paintings until a final varnishing.
Stand Oil - A flexible, very heavy bodied purified oil for use in preparing mediums. Excellent resistance to yellowing.
Sun-Thickened Linseed Oil - A heavy bodied purified linseed oil. For use in preparing mediums. Lends an enamel like quality to oil color.
