Winsor & Newton's Artists' Linen Canvas consists of carefully selected and prepared stretched Linen canvas to ensure outstanding quality. Each canvas is triple coated with two coats of highly pigmented primer and one coat of acid-free sizing on a heavy weight superior cloth.

Artists' Canvas also offers balanced absorbency and tooth for improved adhesion, essential for preventing the sinking of oil colour. All Artists' Canvas is stapled on the back side resulting in clean edges, to ensure that you can paint on all four sides. Each canvas is manufactured with a professional frame construction made of kiln dried wood and beveled stretcher bars, hand-stretched for ideal tension, rigidity, and cleanly tailored corners.
