Daler-Rowney Water Colours are made of pigment, water, Kordofan Gum Arabic, some glycerine and a little ox gall. They are characterized by their rich, free-flowing, brilliant colors, which have no hard lines on the edges of washes. Their unparalled performance is due to precise formation and superb pigments.
The manufacturing process includes strict quality controls and a tried and true method of production. Colors are slowly ground on granite triple-roll mills that mimic hand grinding—which have been relied upon to make superb colors for over 170 years! The pigment is then ground to its finest particle size and fully and evenly dispersed. Each batch of color is tested several times to ensure that not only the color is perfect, but that the color will react and perform flawlessly.
